There is a reason for
There is a reason for everything. I didn't get the yarn for Wendy's tank, because I was busy with Charlotte. She stalled last night, and this morning I recieved this -
The pink isn't co-operating with my camera. It's a much deeper pink, called Rose. That's the yarn I hope to use for Luann. It's 69.6% cotton, 30% wool, and 0.4% lycra. It has an unusual texture, the lycra seems to cause it to gather up a little, like this
It stretches out straight when I pull it, and I knitted a swatch, got gauge(!) and the swatch looks okay, not textured, so I'll give it a go. This pic is closer to the shade, but still not exactly right.
The purple is plain 100% cotton. If the pink is too textured and doesn't do justice to the pattern, I'll use the purple. I cast on in the pink, but for some unknown reason, I cast on a totally wrong number of stitches. Not off by 1 or 2, but by 22. I have no idea how that happened, but I'm about to start again :)
