Blah, blah, blah. Didn't pick
Blah, blah, blah.
Didn't pick up Charlotte again yet, am now about halfway up the front of Luanne. Doesn't this get boring?
Anyway, in other knitting news, I finally found an Australian supplier for Addi turbo needles, so I ordered 3 of them. A 3.75mm, a 4mm and a 4.5mm, all 40" long.
So, if you're reading this, and you have used Addi Turbos, leave me a message, please! Do you like them? Should I go back and order one in every size? What do you like to use them on? What don't you like to use them on? Are they good for wool? Cotton? Fun fur? Scratching your ear? Have I wasted my money? And what's your preferred length? (Like I needed new needles anyway!!)
Any good for socks? I've never knit socks on circs, and I love my bamboo DPNS!
All opinions wanted :)

I too love love my Addi Turbos because wool sweaters are knitted so much faster. You will like the smoothness of the knit. I also do lace on Addis but it really depends on the pattern. I often have to go to bamboo for lace.
Congratulations - you have made a wonderful investment.
Posted by: Barb at June 18, 2004 01:11 AMI just recently got my first Addis and despite having a 9mm and a 10mm it was sort of nice. I think the sort of comes from the size rather than the Addis. I am rearing to try my second tank top with them.
Posted by: Karin at June 18, 2004 02:12 AMI love my Addis but they're expensive so I'm slowly building my collection. I have a lot of 24" needles but that's because I do lots of things in the round for my daughter and that's about the right circular size for that. I do like 32" and 40" lengths best in knitting back and forth. I think you'll really enjoy them but try them yourself first and then see if you want to order more.
Posted by: Uli at June 18, 2004 02:27 AMONce you start on the addis' there is no turning back! There is no other! If I knit on bamboo (with the exception of DPN's for socks) my hands now ache. I'm sure they are pining for the addis! I have most of mine in 24 inch, and that seems to cover most of my needs! I have....more than I'd like to admit! I have also tried other metal needles, that are knock offs of addis and they stink. Pay the money. BUild them up! You are worth it! :)
Posted by: sandy at June 18, 2004 09:58 PMI purchased my first pair of additurbos in Feb. They are wonderful! I have since purchased about 10 more and plan to work on a complete set. It was well worth the expense to learn how to do socks on 2 circs. I like to have a sock to work on at boring meetings and the circ allow me to throw them in my bag without worrying that they will slip off the needles...Knitting just goes so much faster. The joins are perfect. Great choice in needles! You will love them!

I love my Addi Turbos, and think you'll enjoy yours 40-inch ones very much. They are slick and slippery, so wool knits fast off of them, in my experience. Lace is tricky on Addis, but I've done eyelash and fun fur with great success. Enjoy!
