That's me! Couldn't you
That's me! Couldn't you tell? ;)
Found originally at Michelle's blog, seen at a few since. Great fun, and possibly slightly addictive, LOL!
Opinions wanted! I have 7 balls of Heirloom Easy Care in 8ply (22sts/4"), roughly 107yds per ball, so 750ish yards total. Is this enough to knit Em a poncho? One of those squarish numbers, with points front, back and sides. If anyone has knit a poncho, let me know. I hate knitting and knitting, and then running out of damn yarn! I'm thinking maybe just stockinette on slightly bigger than recommended needles, maybe with a lacy motif up the centre, maybe a cable. Or maybe a dropped stitch row every 4th row or so.
Anyway, my point is - do you think I have anough yarn?

I think that might be just enough. There is a pattern in an old Spr/Sum 2000 or 2002 Vogue that is for a 2 rectangular stockinette section poncho and it calls for about 700 - 800 yards of Berroco Glace. There is a poncho generator somewhere on the web that might help also, I didn't save the link or I would give it to you.
