Mail Day!!! I love
Mail Day!!!
I love getting mail! Well, perhaps not the bills that always seem to come.
The books are from Amazon. Surprisingly enough, they were ordered a week apart, both were ordered from Amazon USA, but one parcel came from Hong Kong, and one came from Hamburg! Knitting On The Edge is gorgeous. I haven't had time to read it in depth, but it looks great. Finishing Techniques I have been lusting after for months, and finally decided to just buy it. I also got the new Stephen King book with Knitting On The Edge, and Kids Knitting (which has been put away for Christmas) with the Finishing Techniques.
That gorgeous yarn is hand dyed sock yarn, bought from eBay, dyed by Celia, whom I have spoken to via Knitters Review. The colours are beautiful, and as my DH is on a green kick, he shall get Leprechaun green variegated socks!
The yarn really is beautiful.
I think my credit card may be confiscated in the next few days ;) I also contacted Rob from Threadbear, and ordered Lucy Neatby's "Cool Socks, Warm Feet" and some Bearfoot sock yarn and some Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock yarn. If I knit nothing but socks for the next year, I'll still have a sock yarn stash. (ROTFL - I typoed that as "sick yarn stash" I'm sure there is inner meaning there!) And before Christmas, I swore that I would never knit socks.
Psst... Apple Laine are having a big sale and all their Koigu is on sale. If all of you buy it, there'll be none left, and I can avoid temptation. ;)

Imagine life without the internet .... no international shopping at the click of a button. I try to justify an Amazon spending spree occasionally but given the cost of textbooks for my university course I'm afraid it's not possible. My most recent purchase was 1000 Knitting Motifs bought through DoubleDay bookclub.
BTW the eBay seller of the yarn I made the beanie from was russtrees.
