Twinky is home and well,

Twinky is home and well, thankyou all so much for your thoughts and messages! :)
The surgery was routine, went like clockwork, but she is still sleepy and hiding in a corner. I think she is more than a little miffed that we put her through it all.

In knitting news, nothing is happening :(
I had done 10 inches of DH's silkroad sweater, when I had to face facts and admit that the gauge being a little bit off did matter. The front was 4 inches wider than it should have been. Now my DH is not small, but it was looking like an afghan. So the sweater has been frogged, an Addi turbo in a 3.5mm has been ordered. So I decided that I would start Em's Katia cardigan. Gauge issues again. Too loose on 10mm, too tight on 9mm. I am about to try again on 9mm bamboo straights.
I hope you're all having more knitting success than I!!

So glad Twinky is back safe -- I kept checking in to see! :-)

Empathy on the gauge issues... I had to keep frogging a scarf in Kidsilk Haze because I couldn't get the yarn to behave in any of the lace patterns I liked, and had to frog a sock for gauge. Frustrating! Hang in there. :-)
