Look what came in the mail today!
Yet another eBay buy. I bought it to encourage Em, who is having trouble staying interested enough in anything to finish it. It claims that even if you've never knitted anything you'll be able to make these. Each toy is made of garter stitch squares. They are all knitted in 8ply (DK), and are apparently easy.
Gauge won't matter. If my row gauge is short, I'll have shorter fatter toys - more cute, right? MWAHAHAHAHA.
I may knit every damn toy in the book! ;)
Of course, I have to knit the polar bear!
I have been knitting on DH's sock, I am determined to finish it this week. I have joined the yahoo group for the six sox knitalong, and looked at the patterns. If I knit socks for myself, the gauge doesn't matter too much. And surely even I can knit six pairs of socks in a year. Well, ten and a half months, the knitalong started back on June 1. Oops. Maybe I can use some of my sick sock yarn stash :)
Never fear, I haven't given up altogether. In fact, I just bought enough Jo Sharp yarn on eBay to make myself a sweater.
