I finished Em's hat :)
I finished Em's hat :)
Sorry about the blurry pic, not quite sure what happened there! Things went much quicker with this hat after I went out yesterday and bought a new 3mm circular.
I made the hat 1/2" shorter than the pattern, because the pattern was an adult size, but I think I should have done it the full length. Em is happy with it though, so it probably doesn't matter :)
I'm having surgery tomorrow - nothing major, one of those in and out in one day things, so I may post tomorrow, depending on how tired the anasthetic makes me. Unfortunately, they've scheduled me for the afternoon, and I have to fast all day. I also seem to be almost coming down with a cold. I hope it holds off until Tuesday!!
Wish me luck! :)

Thoughts and prayers with you tomorrow. Em looks so cute in her hat.
Posted by: Wendy G at August 16, 2004 04:24 AMThe lace hat is so sweet in pink and looks pretty on Em. I am inspired to make one for my 11 yr old daughter, but not sure if she'll wear it. Have a good rest before & after your op.

Good luck tomorrow.
Posted by: Michelle at August 16, 2004 03:09 PMEm has the sweetest face, EVER. She looks so cute in that hat. I think you could put a vacuum cleaner bag on her head, and she'd make it look like a haute fashion statement.
Posted by: Becky at August 17, 2004 01:55 AMHope your surgery goes well. Rest up...I guess that means more knitting time! I love Em's hat! It's so adorable and she looks so cute in it!

Posted by: sandy at August 17, 2004 11:45 AMHave just fond your blog for the second time and bookmarked it. I notice you are using Bambi wool While I try to use Australian products, I bought some of this and it's absolutely gorgeous. So easy to use and I don't think there has been even one split. Very soft and comfy feeling. I don't know where you are in Aust. But I bought mine from Knit It, Hannah Street, Beecroft. up the top, almost to the main road. Lots of goodies there. (you can find a link to them from the NSW Knitting Guild site.
