I'm still here, still going

I'm still here, still going on the poncho. I'm halfway through the lace edging, then I can block it.
Em has a Social Event on Sunday, and would like to wear it then. Maybe it'll happen. Of course, the weather here is getting warmer, and she's not going to get alot of use out of it this year. Thank goodness it isn't something she'll grow out of.
You may have noticed that I don't knit an awful lot of clothing for myself. Well, not as much as I plan to. This is because I'm one of those silly women who always say "Well, if I lose some weight, I'll need the smaller size. If I knit the size I need now, It'll be too big." And thus, I rarely knit myself anything.
Never mind the fact that I have been steadily gaining weight for the last four and a half years, since I quit smoking.
Well, instead of talking about it, since my surgery I've been doing something about it. I am very pleased to say that my clothes have slowly been getting too big for me. Today I went out and bought myself some new pants. They are two sizes smaller than the last pair I bought :)
And they fit :)
Picture me dancing with glee!

WOW! major congrats on that! Good for you for shrinking slowly - be safe about it!

And just think - knitting gets cheaper because it takes less yarn per project!

Go you! I lost a lot of weight earlier this year (that had been hanging around since the birth of no. 3) but I've been a bit slack lately My recent apalling photo shoot and your great post today has made me determined to get back on track in time for summer! Thanks!
