The poncho is done! I

The poncho is done!
I finished it late last night, dunked it and pinned it and it is now blocking. I think it will be ready for Em to wear to her picnic tomorrow, but I also think it will be too warm for her to wear! We're definitely heading into Spring here now.
The kids danced at a local school fete today, and Em performed a solo. So I took my camera along for you all. :) Yes, that costume is fully sequinned, and it took me around 3 months to sew. And I think it's getting too small :(
All the pictures are clickable to get bigger (visible) pictures, but they're pretty big files (around 800kb).
Poncho pics tomorrow!

You sewed this costume yourself?!!! I'm so very impressed with your sewing talents. It's a beautiful costume and Em looks like a professional dancer in it and with her makeup and obvious talent.

I've been on vacation in Italy and am just now catching up on some blogs. Your daughter must be an awesome dancer! I wanted to take tap when I was a kid but my mom wouldn't let me. She thought it would be too loud when I practiced. So now that I'm an adult, I started tap about a year and a half ago. And I LOVE it! You're amazing with the sewing! What do you do with the costumes that Em grows out of? Do you sell them or recycle them or just keep them in the closet? BTW, I love the poncho too.
