The yarn for my Beaded

The yarn for my Beaded Sock for the sixsox knitalong finally arrived :)
However, I got a bit of a surprise when I opened the envelope.

Can you guess what colour this is?

Pale Pink.jpg

That is correct. Pale Pink. Jeez, I'm glad I didn't order Hot Pink. I thought they'd sent the wrong thing until I checked the label. I'm a little concerned that the beads don't look as pretty as I'd hoped, but I'll push on. Mainly because I'm too lazy to hunt down others, and because I want to start the freakin' socks!

Pale pink, indeed!
Didn't get much done today. DH has had a recurring ear infection that has been bothering him on and off all year. Considering his previous medical history, we don't stuff about when he feels ill. He's been in pain for a couple of days, so off to the local doctor today, who advised him that he had fungus growing is his ear. Like little mushrooms were the doctors exact words. Ewww. As I told DH, it just proves that his job keeps him in the dark and feeds him shit ;)
Anyway, we then had to drive 25km into the middle of a shopping centre in the week before Christmas to DH's Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist to get some special anti-fungal powder that I get to blow in his ear.
Lucky me! :)

It DOES look like hot pink, but you know what, I think the pale beads will look nice with the yarn as there will be enough contrast to show off the beads. I wouldn't worry too much - I think the socks will be lovely.

Thanks for the Christmas card!

I love that pink. It does look more hot than pale but it is a pretty, rich shade of pink.

Thanks for the Christmas card. That was very nice and I really appreciate it.

Oh, I love it! The pink, not the fungus! :) Poor hubby! I"m sure he will be okay. Just don't inhale any of that ear powder, will ya?
Those lorikeets are so beautiful! I can't imagine having such a beauty of a bird in your yard! (Oooh, typo alert! I had typed YARN instead of YARD! hee)
Thank you so much for the wonderful Christmas card! It is a special addition to our Christmas decorations! I smile every time I look at it!
:)
