I have a finished project
I have a finished project to show you all! :)
It's only Em's socks, but they're done. I used Elann's Sock it to Me yarn in Tiffany Roses (from the first batch they sold!) on Pony Pearl 2.25mm DPNS. The pattern is a mishmash of patterns. I knitted them toe-up, using Elann's toe style, Wendy's heel style, and a stitch pattern from the 365 Knitting Stitches a Year calendar. I told you she likes her socks short. I wanted to go a bit longer, but she insisted that these were long enough.
I also finished Clapotis, but she's blocking right now. Two finished projects in one day. Amazing what I can accomplish when I'm the only one home and I ignore the housework ;)
And what else?
I started the RIbby. It's not much, but it's started. :)

ooh, nice clapotis and socks! Pity about the brakes, but you need 'em working properly! 12 years ago I got slugged $800 for new brakes for my old car - the car was not even worth that much! I nearly died....
Thanks for the hint about ebay for a spinning wheel. I just have to watch for one to come up in Melbourne - I don't fancy a drive to Adelaide or Sydney or even to the La Trobe Valley 8-)

Cute socks! I need to try to toe up version. I want to make a pair for my hubby who wears size 12.5 shoes! Ribby is going to be soooo pretty! I love the purple. Sorry about your car...car troubles are soooo expensive! Hope you have a good mechanic.
