When I went back to
When I went back to Spotlight the other day to see what was left in the discounted yarns, I took Emily with me. I've turned her into a yarn snob. There was some pretty pale blue boucle yarn. Yes, it looked very pretty. She picked it up, dropped it immediately and yelped "It feels like acrylic!"
The rainbow lorikeets are screeching, the sky is gray and gloomy. The housework is calling.
I'd rather knit!
Comments
My local Spotlight hasn't further reduced the sale yarns. Popped in this morning, hoping for a reduction. Nope, still at $2.99. Though for some of the yarn that is a good discount, but not for others (the Patonyle for example). Interesting too because my local normally doesn't stock Paytonyle or Bluebell (we mainly have the ghastly fizzy stuff), but there they were on the Sale table. Must have got them from headoffice just for the sale.

some of the acrylics are ok, but a *lot* of them make my fingers hurt. i felt some silk, real 100% silk, the other day and it was worse than hearing fingernails on a chalkboard. yikes!
