I need to get a serious dose of finish-itis.
Satin. Blocked. Unseamed.
Pink Pullover. Unblocked. Unseamed.
Baby vest. Started. Abour halfway through. It's from Simple Knits for Cherished Babies, and I've knit both front and back together. Up to neck shaping.
Mountain Colours sock. Stalled.
I've finished my Pink winter coat though!
Ta Da!! And the black dress. But the hem is only pinned in on the dress. I've got until Sunday ;)
However, today is the first day back at dancing after the holidays. This is when concert costume sewing starts and I am totally not in the mood.
I think I need to start knitting something new ;)

Coat looks good. With a bit of luck it will be cool enough to need it! It's very warm here today. Plenty of work ahead for you in the finishing. Now the coat's off your mind, perhaps you can settle to it?

That's a gorgeous pink coat and classic dress. I love seeing the beautiful costumes you sew. Amazing things of beauty.
Posted by: erin at April 27, 2005 06:00 PMOf course you need to start knitting something new! Lol! I have several WIPs--a Faroese lace shawl, the second of a pair of socks, a summer weight tunic, a prayer shawl for a friend....Oh! and plans for a lace edging for the soon to be curtains in my soon to be finished sewing room! And there's another prayer shawl after the one I'm knitting now--for my friend's daughter. They're going through a rough time right now....
Posted by: Cathy at April 27, 2005 10:05 PMI have to admit that seaming is not my strong suit....I'd much rather knit! But your knits are gorgeous, even in a pile. I love your new dress and pink coat! You're going to be so styling at Tap Dogs!
Posted by: Evelyn at April 28, 2005 02:50 AMHi Donna,
Me again and off topic too. I'm just back from Champion Textiles at Newtown. They tell me they are getting Opal in in solid colours in two weeks. Thiught I'd tell you in case you were interested. Forgot to ask how much!

What to finish first? I say go for the gold the gold sweater looks so pretty. Coats? Those are hard my mom use to make our coats when we were kids, they are not all that easy. Yours look really good, but I hope it warms upsoon, you can use it next year K? I'll be back soon. Tink
