Look what finally arrived in the mail!

shade135.jpg

Shade 135 Jamieson & Smith 2 ply Jumper weight wool for my Fair Isle Sampler hat. So I did some more of the hat as soon as I got back from the Post Office.

The ribbing is done :) I'm pretty pleased with it so far, and now I'm a bit nervous about starting the pattern.
I finished Em's tam. It isn't blocked yet, and it looks a bit puffy, so I won't show a close up, but Em decided to wear it immediately.

With a poncho and too-short tracksuit pants. And yes, she went to the shop looking like this. I guess I should be pleased that she's so eager to wear my knits, but please someone call the fashion police! ;)

The Fair Isle hat is looking great. Love the colors. I think your daughter looks cute in her tam and poncho.

The poncho looks great! Your daughter is adorable! I hope my kids still want to wear the stuff I knit for them when they're her age. :)

sampler hat is awesome...your own pattern? Yes, be pleased she wants to wear your knits! and besides, with the first two children (10 years between first two and second two) I was soooo worried about what they wore, how they looked etc.

Now...when I see some poor woman with a child wearing a red cowboy hat, orange shirt, green shorts and snow boots, I think "oh god, I remember those days...." :)

The poncho and tam look good together! Your sampler hat is going to look awesome! Doesn't it feel strange to be handling 2 yarn at the same time? I've only done 2 colors once. I haven't been brave enough to start using more colors. I can't wait to see how your hat turns out.
