Where do the days go?
Under Em's bed.
We have a running joke in the family, concerning the state of Emily's bedroom. Anything that can't be found is probably located under Em's bed. That's now applied to places, people, anything at all. "Where is Timbuktu?" "Under Em's bed"
So I'm assuming that all the days I seem to have misplaced must be under there too.
Knitting content? Okay. :)
The STYK Lacy toddler cardi is done. I love it, love the yarn, love the pattern. The recipient is currently overseas on holiday, so I can't mail it off to her just yet, but I'm sure she'll look adorable in it :)
The pattern is from STYK, and the yarn is Filatura Di Crosa "Zara" which I also got from Janette. I'm sure I'll make this again, if there's another female toddler about.
The Fair Isle hat progresses slowly. I'm now up to row 43.
I've slowed down a bit, I'm not knitting so obsessively on it, but it's not been cast aside yet, either :)
I also restarted the cropped cardi.
I'm working it in one piece to the underarms. It's based on a raglan cardi from Ann Budd's "Knitters Handy Book of Sweater Patterns". Slow going, with 200 stitches on the needle, but it's nice mindless, in front of tv knitting.
It's been quite cold the past couple of days, but today has been warmer, and the sun has been out. Twinkie is making the most of it.
Hope your day is nice, too!

Very nice little pink sweater. I like the lace pattern. Your Fair Isle looks good, too.
Posted by: Chery at July 20, 2005 02:32 PMThe cardigan is adorable! And so is Twinkie as usual.
Posted by: Nanette at July 20, 2005 04:32 PMAhhhh..."cold". I remember that! :)
STYX is absoulutely GORGEOUS! Such a lucky little girl! Such beautiful details!
AND fair isle too? You are going to town, girl!
Love your knitting!
And twinkie. How could I NOT love the twinks?
Wow! Great eye-candy today -- beautiful knits and a bunny pic. What more could we ask for?
Posted by: Wendy at July 20, 2005 10:14 PMThe lacy cardi is beautiful as well as the hat.
Posted by: Wendy G at July 20, 2005 11:23 PMThat is a gorgeous toddler cardi!! Not of a fan of pink myself, I can still appreciate it when it's for other people. Pink is the perfect colour for that sweater.
Posted by: peggy at July 20, 2005 11:40 PMI love the pink cardi too!! Wow, you are fast lady!!
About the fair-isle hat...since it's in the round, and will be worn...will you have to weave in all those loose ends from the changing colors? I made the fair-isle bag from IK, and I just lined the bag and left 'em...
Posted by: Renada at July 21, 2005 12:31 AMGorgeous! :-)
Also, can I send you a list of things to look for under Em's bed? I assume stuff from California can get there, if Timbuktu can! LOL.
Posted by: Janet at July 21, 2005 01:28 AMOhhhhh, I must make that cardi for my niece. Does it come in a size that would fit a three-year-old? (the links aren't working) I think I'll make it out of Calmer, if the gauge is right. Ohhhhhh, please give more details!
Posted by: Norma at July 21, 2005 02:42 AMThe pink cardi is absolutely gorgeous! You did a wonderful job. I've never knit with Zara but I have pet it before! Your fair isle hat is looking great too. How does the inside look?
Posted by: Evelyn at July 21, 2005 03:37 AMLovely pink cardi! I love the colors in your fair isle.
Posted by: eyeleen at July 21, 2005 01:59 PMThe little pink sweater is darling! Nice job and your FI project is going to be awesome.
Posted by: margene at July 22, 2005 02:18 AMWhat a beautiful cardigan; and your hat is looking fantastic! The amount of talent you must have to knit something so complicated ... wow. Awesome!!
Happy knitting!

Gorgeous cardi.
