So, guess what?

fcekcardi011005.jpg

I finished the back of the cardi. That's precisely how much time I spend in school halls, waiting for my kid to dance. I cast on for this on Monday night, worked on it at the comp on Tuesday, and finished it at the comp last night.
No more on the shawl yet, I'm trying to track down an Inox grey 3.5mm needle in a 120cm length. I found one on a Canadian site, but they want $US22 to ship it to me. Not likely! I guess I'll keep going with the 100cm one that I have.
I can tell I'm getting bored with it, as I keep finding new things to do. The first clue for the Mystery Shawl 2 came out last night, and my fingers are itching to cast on for that.
I bought two 2mm circs, and I went to the Socknitters site, and I want to learn to do two socks on two circs. Mind you, I haven't finished Em's Lorna's Laces socks yet!
I'm trying to resist, really I am!

Love that cardigan! It will be so comfy to wear! And I just adore the picture of twinks eating dandelions!
:) I sometimes can't resist spelling it DANDYLIONS. Looks happier that way!

Good for you! You are either a fast knitter or you had to wait a long time. What do other parents do while they are waiting?

Socks on two circs are easy--and you never accidently loose a needle! Love doing it that way! I also do other small circles that way--like hats. :) It took me a while to get the hang of it, but after a few rows, you'll be ok. I also know of the "magic loop" method to do them on one circ, but haven't tried it. If you have another circ the right size, you might practice with the shawl...it'll ease up the crowding of stitches.

Hey donna
Have you been over to the mysteryshawlalong2 messageboard? someone really nice is offering to help you out with the needles you need - how does about $6.50 CAN sound?

I can't believe it, my co-worker just bought a car for $55477. Isn't that crazy!

Have you seen this before? It's a number guessing game: http://www.amblesideprimary.com/ambleweb/mentalmaths/guessthenumber.html. I guessed 17178, and it got it right! Pretty neat.
