So, I went to the Post Office this morning, and I discovered that the Trekking XXL sock yarn that I ordered from Lisa had arrived. I came home and took a picture of it.
The pastel is for me, the orange is for DH. Then I tried to put it away. And I came to a realisation. I couldn't fit it into the sock yarn box.
Then I realised that I have a problem. Look away now, hubby!
Behold. The Stash.
It's not as bad as I thought it might be. Although there might be more, hidden about the house somewhere.
I do not have too much yarn. I have too little time!

Yummm, Trekking sock yarn! Will you be casting on socks with it soon? I want to see it knitted up. [g]
Your stash isn't too bad, I've seen worse...not mine, of course. [g]
Posted by: Michelle at November 7, 2005 12:12 PMHey Donna, if you want you can store some at my house??
lol
Posted by: Vicki at November 7, 2005 12:34 PMYou are exactly right it is not the stash itself but the lack of time for knitting it all ;) well that is the excuse we will stick to!!!
Posted by: sharon at November 7, 2005 01:04 PMUmmmm Donna, that's not a stash......... thats heaven.
Posted by: Carol at November 7, 2005 03:53 PMPlease dont tell me that is only your SOCK YARN STASH!! :-) Stripey
Posted by: the stripey tiger at November 7, 2005 03:59 PMwell that is about 1/5th of the size of the alpaca stash I hold for the farm at crookwell that is not even inculding my real normal statsh of bendigo ect.
Posted by: tianne at November 7, 2005 04:23 PMOooh I love that Trekking. I have just paid for some stuff with Lisa cant wait to get it.
Nah thats not a huge stash! lol...I did a post on my blog a few weeks ago about my stash

And I got a LOT of comments that I have a stash problem! lol. I am like you though. I dont have enough time to knit it all. I wish I did. But I do admit I have a small problem. I also suffer stash guilt (not a good thing when you LOVE buying yarn).

I agree its time that is to fault.
Posted by: Danielle at November 7, 2005 05:15 PMthat's some nice trekking yarn! and that sock yarn stash is great! my husband actually doesn't know how much yarn i have because he doesn't dare step into my stash room (yarn, beads, books, etc.) - too afraid i think....
Posted by: debbie at November 7, 2005 05:26 PMhmmmmmmmm i can't close the lid on my sock yarn stash box either! gotta knit faster!
Posted by: Nat at November 7, 2005 06:00 PMThat pastel trekking looks like the one I had. So pretty! Do I spy some Knit Happens Lorna's Laces sock yarn in that stash shot?
Posted by: lynne s of oz at November 7, 2005 06:12 PMThat's all your sock yarn? Nice colors! It appears about the same size as my sock yarn stash...and I'm really glad the laceweight I've been stashing lately doesn't need much space....
Posted by: Cathy at November 7, 2005 10:11 PMSo many nice yarns!
Posted by: wool winder at November 7, 2005 11:27 PMThat's not a bad stash. It's not just sock yarn, right? I bought some Trekking earlier this year but haven't tried it out yet. I'm trying to work on my stash to make space for more yarn. The sock yarn doesn't take up that much space so I've been working on larger projects!
Posted by: Evelyn at November 8, 2005 03:17 AMThat sock yarn looks great. Your stash is so organised.
Posted by: Annie at November 8, 2005 08:28 AMForget worrying about hubby. It's TWINKIE you need to hide that stash from. Where is Ms. Twinkie these days?
