The bits for the Zhivago cardi are blocking.
And I've started the edging.
The main body of the cardi is worked on 4mm needles, and the lace edging calls for 7mm needles. I tried the 7mm, but the work was just too loose for my liking. I've gone down to a 6mm, and it seems a little better, but it's going to feel like it's going on forever. I quite like knitting with the Zhivago, although I'm coming across a lot of these little tangles.
This one was easy to undo, but some of them are true knots. I have to tease out the loop, and thread the ball through it. Weird.

The edging is great and is going to make this sweater special.

BTW, I just got A Gathering of Lace and I've got my yarn ready to start my first lace project as soon as I'm done with my cardigan. I'm so excited but so undecided on what I should knit!
Posted by: Evelyn at March 3, 2006 03:32 AMThat is looking fantastic.I still can't believe they discontinued the yarn. No one even had time to try it out.

Donna, Zhivago is coming along wonderfully! I hate finding little tangles and knots in my yarn like that. I tend to re-wind everything on my yarn winder before knitting with it to make sure there are no knots. Happy Knitting!
