Emily has been sick with a cough and a cold for a few days, so I took her to the doctor this morning. To pass the time, I took my beaded sock to knit.
However, when I got there, I saw an old friend whom I haven't seen in quite a while, so I chatted with her, and did no knitting.
Guess what?
Two hours later, I've realised that my knitting is sitting on the floor under my chair. At the doctors.
Now I'll have to go back tomorrow to pick it up. Bah!

Hope Emily is feeling better soon.

anyway, hope em feels better soon. it's not really good falling sick during the cold weather.
Posted by: Michelle at June 19, 2006 04:55 PMat least you hope it is safe there but it could be worse. I had a loveley handknit stolen walking into work one day as a cyclist tried to snatch my bag. he got my nice new expensive handknit as it was thru the straps.
Hope Em feels better soon and look forward to seeing you both on sat
Posted by: tianne at June 20, 2006 12:47 AMHope Em has a speedy recovery! And I hope the nurses took pity on your knitting and tuckedit away someplace safe. You might want to knit in public more often so you can talk and knit at the same time. Everyone I knit with can multitask like that.... ;)
Posted by: Cathy at June 20, 2006 12:49 AMI hate when that happens.
Posted by: wool winder at June 20, 2006 02:36 AMI hope Emm is better soon. It is horrible for everyone when your child is sick. I always take either my knitting or a good book to the dr's cause even though you can be on time doesnt mean the dr will be.
Posted by: Leeanne at June 20, 2006 09:15 AMPoor Em, it is awful when your children (Labradors in my case) are sick. I have spent a few sleepless nights!! Hope she's better soon.
Aren't you glad you remembered where the knitting was though?? It could have been lost forever!!!
How annoying to leave it at the doctor's. Hope Emily feels better soon. Hate those colds/coughs that linger.
