My Blog

July 06, 2006

It's school holidays. Again. Am I the only person who is starting to think that these kids have too many holidays?
Anyway, as a result, there is little or no knitting going on.
But I baked!
Anyone who knows me is now shaking their heads in disbelief.
I noticed that we had some chocolate chips in the cupboard, and got a hankering for chocolate chip cookies. Being ever-so-creative, I noticed lots of other yummy things in the cupboard, too.

Behold, milk-and-white chocolate chip, mini m&m, nut and peanut butter cookies.

And they were even better than edible!

In knitting news, the ends on glove number one have been woven in. That's it. No second fluff sock done, no second glove cast on, but I'm having some serious lace yearnings.

They look delicious...wish I could come over for a cup of tea and a couple of cookies. And try on the glove! It's fantastic.

Ohh, Ohh, Ohh, join us here!!! I have some lovely lace alpaca to make this mystery stole. It is a great group so far, doesn't start until Friday morning US Eastern time, but it does become a closed group on the 14th I think.

Weaving in the ends on the glove is work enough. You deserved a plate of home baked cookies. Looks like you hit on a winning recipe. Yum!

I did not expect to see cookies here, a second glove maybe, but not cookies! Maybe these yummy looking cookies should be called Cupboard Cookies as in whatever's in the cupboard that's yummy goes in them!

Your glove looks fantastic. Those cookies look very nice to eat. I am going to try and stay away from sweets for a few weeks and hopefully the spare tyre will disappear just a little bit.
