I started something new.
It's still some of my promised-to-others knitting, bt hey, it's something new.
To avoid the Fair Isle gloves, I cast on for...

More gloves! I think I need to question my sanity.
These are the cable gloves from One Skein, in Cascade 220 for David. He has been patiently waiting all winter, so I thought I'd better get moving on them before winter is over.
Plain gloves in worsted weight work up far more quickly than Fair Isle gloves in Shetland Jumper weight. Funny that. ;)
I did finally start the second Fair Isle glove.

But obviously didn't do much more than start it.

Em's doll's beret is coming along beautifully.

She's doing very well for her first go at knitting in the round. Her decreases are looking good, too! Don't mind my polar bear pjs.

Twinkie is happy to play prettily in the weeds.

Wow - you work fast! I love those gloves, they look so warm. The doll beret is so cute and a gorgeous colour :-) Now that's one huge rabbit LOL. Can you spin it's fur or is that only Angora rabbits? (see, I know absolutely nothing about spinning and fibres) LOL.

The gloves grew really quickly. What is the secret to doing the fingers? Mine look all boogely. Maybe that's why I am liking fetching so much....... no fingers :)

It is just like knitting 8ply socks. I can make a pair in 2 nights. That is amazing!! It takes soooo much longer with 4ply. Does Twinkie know we can still see her?? Tori (Labrador from the olden days) used to think that if she couldn't see you,you couldn't see her!! Very amusing!!!

Perhaps avoiding the FI glove will get you through your obligation knitting faster. The new gloves look great! You'll be finished with them in no time.

Tell Em the beret looks good!

David's gloves look so good I would even wear them. I like Em's beret too. She is going to be one clever lady when she grows up isnt she, what with dancing, knitting, anything else she puts here mind to.

I love those new gloves. I've been thinking about the One Skein book and it looks like I may just have to go out and find it.

Twinkie is absolutely adorable! My bunny would love to get out and play in the weeds like that.
