Shit.
Can you see it? I didn't notice it until now, but now I have to decide if I can live with it or not.
If you honestly can't see it, the patterning above the dark stripe is off by one stitch. If you can't see it, feel free to reassure me that it'll be fine.

huh? which stitch?
Posted by: Donni at July 18, 2006 02:43 PMI think it looks off because of the nature of knitting in the round. And I would just leave it. When you wear the sock, the pattern will expand in certain places and nobody will notice.
=:8
I can't find what stitch you mean. I'd just leave it.
Posted by: christy at July 18, 2006 03:36 PMI tried to see the mistake before reading about it, but I couldn't spot it. ;)
Posted by: kessa at July 18, 2006 03:43 PMI can't tell where it is? Only the person making it can tell. If it's going to but you fix it, but if not, I'd leave it.
Posted by: Tammy at July 18, 2006 04:40 PMcant find it brain says NO
Posted by: tianne at July 18, 2006 05:55 PMWell, I really couldn't see it until you pointed it out, and even now it's hardly detectable for me. I'd say this is one of the tiny mistakes that only the one who makes the project can see, no one else will! No reason for frogging, keep going - it looks so great already!
Posted by: Dipsy at July 18, 2006 07:45 PMWell, now that you pointed it out, and with a LOT of trying to figure out what you were talking about, I THINK I can see it. If that's not enough of a NO, I don't know what is. There is no way that ANYONE would ever see that, either on or off the wearer!
Posted by: Norma at July 18, 2006 09:20 PMWhat? A mistake? Don't see it! ;-)
Posted by: Marina at July 18, 2006 10:44 PMI honestly don't see it.
Posted by: Cece at July 18, 2006 11:39 PMI really can't see it but think it looks fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: Cathy at July 19, 2006 12:02 AMI couldn't see it until you pointed it out, and I still have to look really hard to see it. Leave it, no one will be the wiser unless you tell them.
Posted by: Jill at July 19, 2006 12:09 AMI finally figured it out--after reading your post and staring at it a good 10 minutes. Don't pull these pop quizzes on me until I get some caffiene. ;) Seriously--I had to look hard to find it, and if you hadn't pointed it out, I never would have noticed it. My test would be--place it next to the completed glove, and if it jumps out at you, fix it, and if it doesn't, leave it.
Posted by: Cathy at July 19, 2006 12:46 AMI'll be fine I think!
Posted by: Michelle at July 19, 2006 01:13 AMI can't see it. It looks great!
Posted by: monica at July 19, 2006 02:19 AMI know you're drawing a big red arrow that says "Here's the mistake!" but I STILL can't see it. Either I need my eyes checked or it's completely unnoticeable....yes, it must be the latter!
Posted by: Evelyn at July 19, 2006 03:26 AMIt took a lot of looking but then realised where you were talking about. It is not noticeable, but I know you and you will rip it back....won't you. Anyway, I would leave it, when wearing the glove who is going to get that close to see it.
Posted by: Annie at July 19, 2006 08:08 AMI don't see anything except a wonder knit item taking shape. Great job!
Posted by: Diane at July 19, 2006 08:42 AMI couldn't see it until I you told me what to look for, and then it still took a few minutes to figure it out. Even now, I have to think about it. It's sooooo not noticeable. I say let it be and keep on knitting.
Posted by: jae at July 19, 2006 09:13 AMI'd say leave it.......... but we know you won't.
Admit it.... you did it deliberately so you could draw out the enjoyment you are getting from all that Fair Isle :P
The fact that you have pointed it out here means it worries you. Fix it.
Posted by: Susan at July 19, 2006 10:49 AMI had to read it twice, and I'm still not sure I see what it is. However, I am an obsessive person, and have to yank out mistakes whether they are noticeable or not, so if you are like this, then I would just frog and forget about it...
Posted by: Debby at July 19, 2006 01:24 PMonly after reading your description 4 or 5 times could I see the mistake (for everybody who still doesn't see it, the green triangles above the dark brown stripe are one stitch to the right of the pattern below the dark brown stripe). Honestly, I think that taking out the 6 or 7 rows and doing them properly is probably worth the time. If you were another 20 or 30 rows into the project, then definitely not, but at this point it won't take that much time to frog, and I'm sure you'll be much happier with the finished product! Either way, it's beautiful!
Posted by: kate at July 19, 2006 03:51 PMI really didn't see it until you told me.
Posted by: wool winder at July 19, 2006 11:20 PMHonestly, I didn't see it till you said what was wrong. I was too busy admiring the colors you chose. But now the cats outta the bag, I say rip! It'll haunt you FOREVER. You know what you need to do...*hugs*
Posted by: Renada at July 20, 2006 03:32 PMWell...now that you pointed it out, but I was too interested in the Fairisle pattern and the lovely colours. Is it a pattern that is readily available?
Posted by: Kerry at July 20, 2006 06:22 PM
well, if I turn my head all the way to the side and squint my eyes then I can tell it's off, but other than that, I can't tell a thing. :~)
Posted by: Vicki at July 18, 2006 02:33 PMit looks perfect ;~)
