Two posts in two days, alert the media!
We had an outing today. Thankfully, the weather was a vast improvement on yesterday.
Where did we go? To the football.
That would be the NRL for out-of-staters, and Rugby League for the international contingent. Anyone who knows me is scratching their heads in puzzlement. The football and I generally don't make a happy couple. However, there was an ulterior motive.
We had free tickets because Emily was performing.
Emily, and roughly 800 other kids!! Isn't she a star?
Okay, here's a marginally better picture.
Anyway, the dye bug bit again, and I had dyed up the Knitpicks Dye Your Own worsted weight that Tammy sent me, and I took it along to work on. In my gorgeous new Jordana Paige bag!
Just a scarf, but I needed something relatively easy to work on. I seem to be in a muted phase at the moment. The colours I used here are Gaywool colours, Meadow, Watercrest and Violet.
So it was a happy family day. Em got to dance and show off, I got to knit, and David got to watch the football.
Every Sunday should be this good!

Em is CLEARLY not only the most beautiful child there, but also the most talented. I can tell.
:)
What a lovely day you must have had.
xo
Lovely colors. Hey, any opportunity to knit is good. Even if you do have to sit in uncomfortable chairs!

Posted by: wool winder at July 25, 2006 02:00 AMWhat a talented girl Emily is. You must be so proud, and I too would knit through watching NRL, although I do watch some AFL and I did used to go to matches for about 2 years, but I did not do a lot of knitting then. At least you have your sunshine back, I think Melbourne received the crappy weather since it has been raining since Sunday. Today is foggy and gray, so not very inspiring.
