Things have been busy knitwise at Casa del Random.
The Lace Panel Sweater is in a lovely pile of blocked pieces.
Not seamed yet. It often takes me a while to work up the seaming bit. Like the Nundle Sweater. Yes, I finished knitting it on June 15. Well, while I was waiting for the LPS to dry, i finally decided that it was past time to finish the Nundle Sweater.
It took 2 hours on Tuesday night and all day Wednesday, but it's done.
Six months later. Yes, I'm ashamed of myself. This is how many ends I got from just one side seam.
No wonder I put it off. Too hot for modelled shots yesterday, and no-one here to take pics today. I blocked all the pieces back in June when I finished it, but I think it needs to be blocked again. It went together beautifully, but there's something funky going on in the top of the sleeve. See where it looks all puffy? It's a drop shoulder sweater, so it looks funny to have the sleeves puffing up like that. I'm hoping a blocking will help.
And that's not all.
P-p-p-p sock number one is up to the toe shaping!
And there's one other thing that I'm saving for another blog entry. But here's a hint. I love Calmer.
It's raining here today again. But Twinkie still wanted to go play outside.
So she found the only dry spot in the yard.

My Nundle did the same thing with the sleeves - very annoying.

Posted by: Carol at December 15, 2006 04:33 PMGreat job of finishing Nundle! 6 mos. eh? That's a good long time, but it's all done and ready now. You really flew through that JoSharp sweater. The lace looks lovely.
Posted by: Wanda at December 15, 2006 05:16 PMCongratulations on seaming Nundle. After dealing with all those ends, the lace sweater should be a breeze.
Posted by: wool winder at December 16, 2006 12:18 AMYou do knit so fast!! The nundle sweater colors are so pretty -- did you choose them or did they come in a kit? You must be so glad to make it an FO at last!
Twinkie is too funny. And smart!
Posted by: Debby at December 16, 2006 12:19 AMCongrads on finishing Nundle! I hated all those bits that needed to be sewn in,pssssst, mine are still there you can't see them though,ha ha ha!
It dawned on me last night that the lace panel sweater is the one out of the new jo Sharp book! It looks fabulous and am wondering myself but I still have that cotton hoodie in Freedom to finish yet. I could have used it at the Community Xmas Tree as it got quite cool watching the fireworks!!
Bunny looks quite happy under her table!!!!
I've been wondering where Nundle sweater went. Interested in how Lace Panel Sweater will look after seaming. And Twinkie looks so cute sitting on the dry patch. lol
Posted by: kessa at December 17, 2006 02:00 AMHi Donna, Those LPJ pieces look great all nicely blocked. The Nundle jumper looks nice too. Hopefully another blocking will fix that puffiness for you. It looks dry where you are - but hey, I guess that could be said of anywhere in Australia at the moment.
Posted by: Terri at December 17, 2006 05:24 PMI cant wait to finally see the Nundle sweater. The socks look great too, and I might just have to print out that pattern of yours and try to knit them over the holidays too. Twinkie looks cute, and is so smart to know where there is a dry spot.
