The p-p-p-p socks have landed. Or they're done, or something.

It's hard to think, it's a bit hot today. Like 35C. (95F)
But they're done, and Em loves them. Mind you, she didn't love them enough to keep them on, and I don't blame her. She tried them on, I took a picture and she ripped them off as quickly as she could.

Specs:
Pattern: Pomatomus socks, from Knitty, designed by the very clever Cookie
Yarn: Knit Picks Sock Memories in the now defunct colourway "Easter"

I enjoyed the first sock, and it was done quickly, but the second sock not so much. No idea why, but I was over it halfway down the leg. The way the yarn patterned differently on the second sock may have something to do with it.

Spring Blossoms has 2 rows to go and then just a crochet chain cast off. So I don't care how hot it is, I'm going to sit and finish it. Now.

i know you can do it. Keep going til it's done! Now don't preach to me about the shawl I am not working on at the moment. Wait, that would be 1 of the 4 shawls in progress I am avoiding.

Hmmm, weird how they pooled differently. Glad you finished them knowing how much you "loved" knitting them.....;)

Congratulations on finally finishing the p-p-p-socks. They are a weight off your mind now, so you can plan your next project. I'm sure that by the time I am writing this, you will have finished your purple blob too. Take heart. Happy knitting.

Oh they are fraternal twins!!! They look lovely!! It is almost 11pm and it is 30*C. I long for Autumn. Good luck with the finishing off!!!

Well if Em was at my work place she would be greatful to have the socks on it is the one freezer that is a joke, BUt cant wait to see the shawl done.

Em would love to wear those socks here today! We might break 40°F, but I'm not holding my breath. And the way the wind is blowing....Just no. That is some odd pooling in the socks, though. And Hooray for a purple blob! I get to knit a pair of felted mittens for the FIL and a gender neutral baby blanket for the neighbors who are moving.

Matched socks are ideal but mismatched socks are cute too anyway. Godspeed for Spring Blossoms!

So strange how the the feet look similar, but the legs are totally different. Good for you for sticking with it. The pooling would have discouraged me too.

They look good ... I'm not sure which one I like better. While I really like the stripes, I'm kind of keen on the funky pooling on the other one too. Very nice. :)

I so wish we had your warm weather. It is below freezing here in New England. :(

The socks look great Donna, although with this heat I can't say I blame Em for taking them off as soon as possible. How's the Spring Blossoms shawl going are you done? I can't wait to see it blocked! I did some sock and lace knitting even though it's so hot and I have no aircon because it's broken down.

I cannot imagine that the temperature difference between your house and ours is close to 100 degrees. I don't care for either temp, if you must know.

Nice socks!

Love the socks...the way they are different makes them totally unique.

I am so with you on the getting sick of the second sock halfway down the leg. I just finished some TOTALLY obnoxious orange socks for a friends husband and I was sick of them before I started the second sock. There is only so much orange that I can take!

Anyway, Good Job!
