I vote for #2. I like the variegation; don't like the lack of stitch definition so much in #1.

I'm going with #2 - there is NOTHING worse than mohair fuzz! (Well, there IS but mohair fuzz is up there!) x

I love the colour on #1 but I'd go for #2 - if you are going to put so much work into a lovely stitch pattern, you want to be able to see it, I think.

I'd go for #2 too. The variegation looks nice and subtle, and doesn't seem to obscure the pattern. Love the stitch definition there.

I'm going to go for #2. While I love the mohair, unfortunately pure mohair is scratchy against skin. Ouch. You do have the cutest bunny :D

I like #2. I see fuzzy bunny head! Did you read a book called "Pat the Bunny" when you were little?

if i had to choose, i'll choose "touch" :)

if you don't like the varigation, you could always dye it when done...

Another vote for Touch. I like the pink one but if it fuzzes up too much, it might distract from the pattern. In the long run, though, go with whichever one won't drive you crazy when it's around your neck :)

I love the colour of #1 but yes there is that fluffiness happening. I'm not so keen on the varigated....... any chance you can raid the stash for another option?

I do love how it looks in the variegated colourway...And I think they fuzzy will get rather annoying after awhile ;-)

Yep number 2 it does have a natural dyed randomness about it. Twinkie I see you hiding in the corner there.

Not being able to see them in person, it's hard to tell, but it appears the stitch definition is clearer and more defined with "Touch". In the photograph, the variegation doesn't distract from the lace pattern, but you are the only one that can decide that. I would go with "Touch".

I vote for option#2. The variegation doesn't look to be too wild or interfere with the pattern.

I was heartbroken for you when I heard you ripped your first one.

I am so glad you decided to still knit it, just in a smaller gauge yarn. I'm LOVING the second one. The variegation is rather subtle, and adds to the beauty of the lace, instead of detracting from it.

I'm with you about the halo. To me, this scarf needs definitition

I also choose #2. I have knitted this scarf. You want to make sure that the stitch definition shows so that all your chart reading is not wasted. the Touch yarn shows the stitches and the variation really appears rather subtle and not at all distracting.

I'll go against the crowd and vote for #1. I LOVE the color, and think the little bit of halo gives it a romantic flair.

Oh I really love the variegated one. I dont like the fuzziness of the 1st one, but the color is pretty, but I think the second one would suit you much better.

I'm loving the lavendar/variagated one!
okay, I also like the other one, but the halo? okay NOW, but it'll grow, and then... ew.
the variagation is subtle, and works, and if you decided against it, you could just send it to me and I'd finish it up and return it to you after a year or so.... [grin]

I have to go with option 2, like the variegation and the way the pattern opens up. The pattern doesn't show quite so well in option 1.

Both yarns are lovely ... I vote for #2 though, because part of the beauty of this pattern are the stitches and you can see them much more clearly with the 2nd yarn.

I'll also go against the group and vote for #1. Yes, I'm biased because of the color, but I prefer a little fuzziness to the variegation in #2.

I too like the fuzziness of #1 but like #2 better as the pattern really shows up.
