Itsy bitsy, teensy weensy little bits.
They don't look like much, do they? They will become a little bear.
The good thing? These are knitting up super quickly. This picture was taken yesterday morning, when I had all good intentions of blogging.
The bad thing? They're fiddly.
Despite all that, I've knit on them all day, and I'm hoping this little bear will be finished by tomorrow.
Stash enhancement has taken place lately, but I'm accepting no responibility for any of it.
Sock yarn from The Knittery. A hank of undyed and a hank of "Sea Breeze". This purchase was Jacqueline's fault. Well, maybe not *all* her fault. Maybe she just told me how nice it was, and I succumbed. No willpower and all that!
The "Sea Breeze" is for a swap, and the undyed is for me, because I couldn't make my mind up. There's some more yarn coming from Yarns Online, too. But that's not stash enhancement either, because it's for the Exhibition.
To make up for new yarn coming in, I did finish something that should've been done long ago.
The Bloomin' Feet socks are done. Well, pretty much done. I haven't woven in ends or blocked them, but the grafting that sat here for weeks being ignored is done. My parcel will be ready to go in a week or so!
For the past few days, I've felt extremely tightly wound. No idea why, but i'm not sleeping well, and I'm stressing out more than usual. Maybe I need a holiday. (Everyone who knows me is laughing hysterically about now - it's not like I do a lot any of the time!)
Tomorrow is Stitch n Bitch, and I think it's exactly what I need. Sitting in comfortable surroundings, knitting with some of my favourite people. It's a pity I'm driving though, I think a drink or two would go down well, too!

Pretty socks!
I know what you mean about the "tightly wound" thing lately. And you are not alone. It looks like a common theme on the blogs lately. Time of year?
Posted by: jessie at March 30, 2007 10:48 PMOh, lovely socks!! I put finishing off off sometimes, it is the boogelliest part. Lovely new stash enhancement!!!
Posted by: 2paw at March 30, 2007 10:54 PMOh, that sock yarn is a lovely color. And I must say that I'm not surprised to see Jacqueline as the catalyst for that purchase. She's quite good at making you feel that you *must* buy yarn, and she's got such a great eye for nice yarns (at the best prices) that it's difficult to resist her temptress ways.
Posted by: Susan at March 30, 2007 11:18 PMI felt tightly wound last week. I finally unwound, but feel a little blah now, so beware.
Your pal is going to love her socks!
The little teddy will be cute if you can hang in with the fiddly bits.
Posted by: wool winder at March 31, 2007 12:38 AMI hate when you get that feeling. And I hate when people blame it on hormones or being a woman. Makes me want to tear someone's head off.
Hope you have a relaxing and fun time with your knit buds. I had to miss both days this week from being out of town. Wah!!
Posted by: chrisknits at March 31, 2007 01:19 AMYep, the tightly wound feeling is residing over here too.......... although I think I can locate the cause of mine....... Mr Ex, his crap and the effect it is going to have on Miss B . Can I go punch him now? Just once? I know it would feel really really good. Almost as good as buying yarn.
I agree, a knit session with people who really understand you is in order.
Just as well tomorrow is knitting day.
lovely lovely Bloomin' Feet5 socks.
congrats on the completion - your pal will love them!
the socks look great! i can't wait to see the little bear!
Posted by: amanda at April 1, 2007 02:06 AMI have been feeling that way too. I chalked it up to hormones, but maybe it's lunar too. Whoopee!! Love those socks. I may just have to see about getting some. Yarn is wonderfull too, But I can only look. Darn Alergies.

I am waiting for the fiddly peaces to grow into a bear, how exciting.
Mmmmmm the yarn looks yummy, and the socks are fantastic. The fiddley bear looks kinda blue, what you suppose he is so sad about?
Greetings from the USA and thank you for the warm welcome to the stash-a-long and my blog.
