The exhibition knitting is done, finished, over!
That's the final two bath sets blocking.
Am I weird? I'm blocking wash cloths.
Anyhoo, they're done. I need to reblock some of my lace that I'm showing at both the exhibition and the Campbelltown Show next week, then I'm completely finished.
So did I start a new lace project?
Nope.
A tea cosy. I've never actually knit one before, but the Campbelltown Show has a section just for tea cosies, and I got thinking about it, and an idea sprung into my head and refused to let go, so a tea cosy it is.
There is more to be done to the tea cosy, but I shan't tell yet.
Any guesses?
Twinkie got labelled for Easter.
Suoer fine!
The label lasted about 1.5 seconds, by the way.

Posted by: 2paw at April 9, 2007 09:55 PMAre you felting and then embroidering the Tea Cozy? Love the bath sets. I should probably do those for gifts.
Posted by: Chris at April 10, 2007 01:21 AMThe washcloths turned out lovely. I'm guessing you will add some embellishments to the tea cozy, but I'm not sure what they will be...maybe bunnies, in honor of Twinkie.
Posted by: wool winder at April 10, 2007 01:37 AMOooo those cloths are way to pretty to use! I'd use them under a vase where they wouldn't get wrecked.
are you going to embroider something on the cosy?? some pretty flowers maybe?? or "I heart tea"

It's not that strange that you're blocking wash cloths. A little, but not a lot. LOL
Posted by: Samantha at April 10, 2007 04:15 AMYou know the lace is calling you! Great choice of color on the tea cozy by the way!!!! :)

Posted by: thestripeytiger at April 10, 2007 08:23 AMWas Twinky's tag a gift from her friend, the Easter bunny?
I do love those bath beauties. Perhaps a flared, lace edge around the bottom of the tea cosy?

Posted by: Nic at April 10, 2007 08:02 PMHello,
Lovely washcloths! The green one my favorite. Are you in Sydney? We are traveling from Colorado to Australia on 4/19. Any tips for yarn shops to visit? I am a novice lace knitter!
Love the bath sets. You blocked them because you are a lace knitter and we lace knitters know how important it is to block(sounds like a good enough reason to me). I love the tea cosy colour too.
How flexible is Em for goodness sake, I think she succeeded in making us all wince.
Posted by: Helen at April 10, 2007 11:41 PMThe bath sets and the tea cosy came out wonderfully.
Grooming nudges to Twinkie!
=:8
I think the washcloths look lovely, and looking at your blog pics, I appreciate the extra definition that the blocking brings :)
