I've got Bloomin' Feet!
A package with chocolate, coffee, icelandic yarn and a wonderful pair of socks, designed by my pal herself.
They fit perfectly.
They're made from Socks That Rock, and it's gorgeous! Not available in Australia, though I do have a skein of it in the stash. Maybe I need to pull it out and knit with it!
The socks are perfectly timed too, it's just starting to get cold here, as a matter of fact, I'm wearing them right now.
I sent my package to Madame Purl. This was a fun swap, many, many thanks to Amanda for organising it.
Obviously, despite the fact that she weighs 4.5kg (10lb!), Twinkie thinks she's not well fed. She decided that she would like an apple, thankyouverymuch.
She was caught in the act.
The damage.
Knitting updates tomorrow!

Posted by: roseredshoes at May 11, 2007 11:25 PMHOw awesome are the socks and in the best time with tonights dip in the temp.
Aww Twinkie wants to pick her own foods too. Boss can be like that and help himself to what he wants as a snack.
Posted by: metal and knit at May 12, 2007 12:16 AMI love those socks!
Posted by: wool winder at May 12, 2007 12:33 AMWhat beautiful socks!! How special's that?? Pleased to see Twinkie goes for the healthy snack foods!!! Peri chooses a tin of condensed milk!!!
Posted by: 2paw at May 12, 2007 12:40 AMBeautiful Blooms!! Twinkle is a hoot.
Posted by: margene at May 12, 2007 01:28 AMI'm so glad to see that the socks made it to their new home - and I am so relieved to see that they fit.
Definitely, start to knit with your STR. Or maybe better not because it is so addictive. ;-) If you think it wears nice - that's nothing compared to the feeling to knit with it!
Your Twinkie seems to experience some serious trouble there, the healthy snack obscured by junk food. Mean. But cute.
What gorgeous socks! I am knitting with STR at the moment and would highly recommend it to you.
I hope Twinkie spat the plastic out!
Posted by: amanda j at May 12, 2007 01:53 PMTwinkie is just trying to go on a diet, mom! Oh-wait-she already eats veggies all the time!
Posted by: Janet at May 12, 2007 02:15 PMPoor Twinkie. The tyranny of the scales gets to each of us....
Posted by: Lara at May 12, 2007 05:57 PMObviously, Twinkie has the same problem I do - hee!
Posted by: shan at May 12, 2007 10:54 PMHehehe, but I sure hope she spat out the plastic from the bag.
Those socks are gorgeous, and I'd just love to get my hands on some STR yarn as I've heard it's to die for.
Nice socks, love the rabbit. Will apple make her sick? My dog didn't react very well when he did something similar, of course he ate the whole thing.
Posted by: elan at May 13, 2007 05:43 AMObviously you are starving poor Twinkie! We Buns need to stick together!
Posted by: Fiona Bun at May 13, 2007 08:56 AMwhat great socks. Bloomin' Feet has been an amazing swap, hasn't it!
Posted by: Teyani at May 13, 2007 02:27 PMThose socks are lovely and I think I have that shade in my vast stash ,hmm somewhere.....
Im looking for the Embossed leaves pattern at moment,Interweave Knits Winter 2005? Dont what bit me(maybe your socks remind me of it?) but i woke up Saturday and thought I must have that pattern,,,
That Icelandic wool,I ve seen that before in "cakes" ,is it soft to feel? Thought of knitting an Icelandic fairyle jumper in the Lopi Wool, for fun of course, its only really cold at night here and the odd rainy day in Winter....
Twinkie likes to forage for own tucker? Fluffa love Fibre Plus(the dk green pack) He comes fying across the floor when I call him and head butts my hand to get it,LOL,hes getting fatter!
I love love love those socks!!!!
Posted by: amanda at May 14, 2007 12:06 PMI love those socks! I also love that you got a picture before you stopped her from eating the apple. :D
Posted by: Emily at May 14, 2007 01:01 PMYou should feel really bad about underfeeding that poor neglected rabbit........
Posted by: Meaghan at May 15, 2007 03:19 PMRose Quartz is my favourite STR colour - I've got 2 hanks in each weight (slightly obsessed perhaps?).
They DO ship to AU but I shamelessly request it each time I do a swap with the gals - that, and Sundara. :)
They're gorgeous! And how special to have socks designed just for you.
Poor Twinkie! At least, she only ate one. Some others might try a bit of each ;-)
