Updates

Knitting updates.
The Shetland Shawl is growing. Very slowly, though.

I'm up to row 60 of 92 on this border. Here's how it looks stretched out and pinned.

I would've got more done over the weekend, but whenever I get a cold, reading charts makes me nauseous, similar to motion sickness. Why is that?!?

That also prevented much work getting done on my Twisted flower Socks, but I did finish the first pattern repeat.

I'm liking them, and the pattern is getting much easier, but now I'm a little worried that they're going to be too big. I'm not having much luck in the sock department lately, am I?

Today I decided to act like a "good" housewife and vacuum the lounge area, which desperately needed it. The damn vacuum cleaner bit me and bruised my thumb. Is this an example of my poor housekeeping abilities? Or a good excuse not to use the vacuum any more?

Twinkie wants you all to know that it's been cold here this past couple of weeks.

That's a heated towel. Yeah, she's spoiled, so what?

aaahh I hope you feel better soon. Looking at the stretched out Shetland Shawl border, I bet the chart would make me dizzy too! Doesn't look easy!!

I think it's time Em learnt about the vacuum cleaner and how to use it. As for Twinky, I saw a Sunbeam throwrug, similar to an electric blanket but it goes on top while person is on lounge etc. I'm sure Twiky could twist your arm into getting one for her. After all, it was only $99 and all the other brands are over $200.

I had a very badly infected elbow about 18 months ago. Had a purple golfball sized lump on it. Doctor told me absolutely no vacuuming, sweeping, rubbing for cleaning etc. All these made the lump too hot to touch. Unfortunately, it was all there waiting some weeks later as husband did nothig in housework line.

Hope the cold goes soon. My theory on the charts is that the cold is somehow affecting the balance mechanism in your ears and so you feel rotten and even mre so with a chart.

The shawl looks lovely & I do understand that a few rows a day will be enough as I am also knitting a lace shawl & could only manage 8-10 rows each time. The sock is also looking great. Do take care & keep warm.

The shawl is beautiful as well as the socks. Hope you are feeling better soon! Twinkie looks very comfortable too.

The socks look great! The vacuum bit you? I would say the goddess of housekeeping is warning you off. Safer to pass that chore on to someone younger! :)

The shawl is beautiful. The sock is too wonderfully complicated for words: it looks like a medieaval illuminated letter. Twinkie would REALLY be spoiled if you bought her one of those new electric rugs. I think The Labradors need one too. And an electric doona. Nothing is too good for Twinkie!!! Hope your injuries don't impeded your knitting!!
