I love Fifi!

Really, I love Fifi. Love it.

It's addictive, I can't put it down.

All of my other projects have been totally ignored in favour of Fifi. I haven't knit a single stitch on any of them. All I want to do is work on Fifi.
Never mind that the weather is still cold and crappy, and totally not sunny or summery or suitable to the garment.

Speaking of crappy weather, the Angora Supreme is almost dry. I haven't tried it on yet, it's too cold to struggle into a damp sweater.

I got a great parcel from my friend Jill this morning. In amongst the knitting magazines she keeps me up to date with, and lots of other little goodies, there were these fantastic Polar Bears bits and pieces from San Diego Zoo.

I am so going to San Diego Zoo while we're in California!!

A little more detail on the dating drama. Em's just testing the boundaries, I think. The boy in question is 16, but he may not even be aware that Em has a crush on him, because she's too scared and giggly to even ask for his phone number, let alone actually carry on a conversation with him. That just confirms for me that she's not mature enough to be dating!

Speaking of Em, poor kid has damaged a ligament in her knee, and is moping around feeling miserable. She had to sit out dancing last night and is suffering through icings and rest. Healing vibes would be welcomed!!

I love Fifi too. Just as well we live in different states, or you know what would happen! I'm going to do it in Refresh as well - because I'm hooked.

I can totally see why you love Fifi. Looks fantastic.

Sorry to hear about Em's knee. Here's to her healing quickly so she can get her head back into dance and away from the boys. [wink] How's dad handling Em's interest in boys?

All those cables!!!!! But Fifi looks frivolous and fancy free!!! Our weather today is Spring time warm, almost Summery yesterday. Poor Em: hope she is feeling better soon.

Hey you have such good taste in patterns! I MUST finish Cece soon so I can wear it in spring but once I've done that I think Fifi looks like a perfect candidate. (Just call me copy cat!) How excellent is it going to look on the new you!! :-) Shaz

Lot's of healing vibes are sent her way!

By the way, I'm just curious, how cold is cold?
It's a little hard to imagine what is cold where you live!

Fifi looks like a fun sweater to knit. The angora sweater is beautiful too.
Hope Em is up and dancing soon!

I feel you Em! I am a bellydancer amongst my other talents and I had a show to dance in last Thursday that involved 2 folkloric Egyptian Dances a solo and a group piece. I had been dancing for 6 nights straight in rehearsals on a bad foot with a pulled muscle in the arch. My teacher kept saying sit down rest. I kept saying it's fine! Ouch! No really its fine! Dancing is life!

Oh Love Fifi! Cables are so much fun!

Fifi looks lovely.
Em, get well soon. Rest, ice, Advil and drinking orange juice helps .. but mostly patience is what is needed to recover.

Fifi looks great! I love that cable pattern.

Oh my gosh! if there is such thing as knittin'-speeding-ticket I think you would have gotten loads! Hehe! Just awesome!

Hey Em, get well soon!

Fifi is really zooming along! Are you cabling without a cable needle?

Posted by: Evelyn at August 22, 2007 07:50 AM

Fifi looks great.

Poor Em, thinking happy, healing knee thoughts here.

Love your Fifi! I was starting mine when I realized that it called for 24" circular needles-not the 29" I had. Waiting for needles. I'm doing the calmer in a dark purple. eventually.

Ooooh, I'm a sucked for cables - Fifi is understandably bewitching!

Hope Em's knee and heart are feeling better soon :)

SUCKER for cables - LOL - that sounded bad!!
Should stop typing now before I have any more serious malfunctions at teh keyboard!

Posted by: Jejune at August 22, 2007 11:13 PM

Oh Fifi is looking very very nice with all those wonderful cables. No wonder you cant stop knitting on it. Poor Em too having to sit out on her dancing. I suppose it would be like us with a sore hand and not being able to knit. Love the polar bears too.

Hi, I love your site and I am totally new to blogging so forgive me if I am not following protocol correctly. I have a new small hand painted yarn business, Argosy Luxury Yarns, like you I love yarn! I was wondering if I could include you in a small marketing sample I am doing. My friends are well intentioned but to sweet to be honest with me, so I would like to send you some free yarn, no need to blog about it, just give me honest feedback so I can improve my company.

If you are interested, check out my site, I will also be at the TKGA Fall show in Oakland. Let me know what colors and fibers you would like to try and I will ship them off to you, again for free.

Thanks so much for your time,
Melissa
