All Fifi, all the time.
Nothing going on here, but Fifi.
If only all my projects moved along this quickly! However, it's starting to hurt my hands a little, so I may have to put it down.
I don't usually get a lot of hand pain when I'm knitting, but this is hurting. I'm assuming that's because of the amount of time I'm spending on Fifi, not because of the yarn. The Calmer is really elastic, and any hand pain I've had before has come about with inelastic yarns like 100% cotton.
Some one else who lives here has started a new project.
Looks like some one was planning a big escape. The hole has now been covered. Of course, Twinkie put on her most innocent looking facade, and denied all knowledge of the alleged hole.
Lucky Em spotted the hole before it got quite big enough for Twink to squeeze through.
Em's leg is doing much better, it must have been all those healing vibes. She's supposed to dance at a comp on Sunday, so we'll see how that goes. She coerced me into letting her go to dance class to sit and watch last night. She kept trying to sneak in a step or two, but the teacher made her sit back down again. At least she listens t someone, even if it's not me!!
The Angora Supreme sweater is finished and dry! I tried it on this afternoon, and it has grown a little with blocking, but I'm still pleased with it - photos on the weekend.

Fifi is looking just beautiful-and I love the colour too.
Posted by: Leonie at August 23, 2007 10:33 PMGreat job on Fifi - you will be finished before you know it!
Looking forward to seeing supermodel Donna!
Posted by: roseredshoes at August 23, 2007 11:17 PMFifi is beautiful. What a great pattern. Isn't it amazing how children listen to everyone else before their parents?
Posted by: donna lee at August 24, 2007 12:09 AMOoh, Fifi is looking good! That's a beautiful pattern indeed. Lovely colour too!
Posted by: claudine at August 24, 2007 01:11 AMFifi is stunning.
What, does Twinkie want to be a world traveler now?
I hope Em gets better fast and has a great competition over the weekend. We've just gotten started with our fall dance classes and as always things are starting a little rocky. Looks like Bug's second ballet class isn't going to have enough people in it to keep going so we will have to move her. It's not to bad though since the owner of the studio has decided Bug needs to be bumped up an extra level this year. We will have to move her from the jazz class she's been in for two years already into a modern class with her sister. Same great teacher though.
Oh, and it is SO hard to find white leotards this time of year.
Keep up the good work on that lovely sweater.
Posted by: Amanda at August 24, 2007 03:08 AMWill we see finished Fifi tomorrow? As fast as it's going, I wouldn't be surprised! It's looking great.
I laughed at the new project bit. If only innocent little Twinky knew what you were trying to blame on her :)
Posted by: Restless Knitter at August 24, 2007 03:17 AMFifi is looking great!
Twinkie looks so fluffy and huggable. I wish I had a yard to let my bunnies romp.
Posted by: Marlena at August 24, 2007 05:47 AMFifi is looking wonderful. Perhaps your hand is hurting from how much knitting you are doing. I am glad that Em found your bunny before it escaped. Our Jack Russell used to dig a hole next door and sneak under it to play in their back yard. We ended up putting a sleeper in the ground so she couldnt dig through. I cant wait to see your blue sweater too, and I am sure it will look wonderful on you.
Posted by: Sue at August 24, 2007 01:08 PMFifi is beautiful, what a wonderful colour.
Posted by: angie at August 24, 2007 01:35 PMwow! fifi is beautiful, i love the color! i don't knit nearly as much as you do, but sometimes when i knit at night, i go to sleep and wake in the morning with achy arms....not hands or fingers, real strange....
Posted by: debbie at August 24, 2007 02:35 PMWOW! It's looking great! Perfect for spring! :-)
Posted by: thestripeytiger at August 24, 2007 04:53 PMFifi looks great! And Twinkie looks like she's just so busy, she didn't even NOTICE that hole...
Posted by: Janet at August 24, 2007 05:00 PMSheesh. That's one mighty fast knit. And looking very nice too! Can't wait to see it, both in person and on the blog.
Posted by: ailsa at August 24, 2007 05:54 PMFiFi is looking wonderful. I am glad you didn't have a jailbreaker and that Em is on the mend. We had major gymnastic tears last night when S discovered she hadn't quite made the next level despite trying really hard. Those kind of days make my heart ache.
Posted by: marti at August 25, 2007 01:25 AMFifi is beautiful. Lavender is one of my favorite colors. I love it.
I remember when my daughter was dancing and developed knee issues - it was very hard for her to watch. It is better to watch now and heal than do permanent damage.
I would be so worried about Twinkie getting out. Maybe some chicken wire or something would deter future escape attempts?
I sometimes overdo it when I'm knitting something I love and want to finish quickly. Fifi is gorgeous!
Posted by: Wool Winder at August 25, 2007 06:37 AMTwinkie would have to get significantly smaller, or the hole significantly larger, for her to fit through! Has she grown more hair - she looks fluffier, if that's at all possible. She's gorgeous.
Fifi's looking great. Maybe my crazy obsession with it was why I had problems with my hands...?
Posted by: Meaghan at August 25, 2007 09:11 AMFifi is soooo pretty!

Wow you are going to look _awesome_ in your Fifi!!!
Posted by: Kate at August 23, 2007 10:15 PMStrut your stuff bayyybeeeee!!! And how are you planning to keep it our of Em's clutches, by the way??
I hope Twink appreciates the seriousness of her near-brush with The Outside, and realises the error of her ways!!
