I got something new!

I can't help myself. I'm a gadget whore, an accessories whore. And a yarn whore, but you all knew that.

I got a new knitting bag.

A Jordana Paige Bella bag, from Yarns Online. Do I like it? I love it.

I already have a Jordana Paige satchel, but as soon as I saw the Bella, I wanted it. I love my satchel, too, but I like this one even better. It's nice and soft and lightweight. And I find that sometimes the satchel is bigger than I'd like. Here's how the two compare size-wise.

Side by side.

The Bella in front of the satchel. They actually don't look too different in this picture, do they? This one shows the difference better.

It's definitely smaller than the satchel.

Smaller, but not small. As soon as it arrived I tossed Fifi in there.

As you can see, Fifi fits nicely, and there's some room to spare. I doubt that you'd get in a whole sweater, sleeves and all, but you might. But if I'm working on a sweater, I'm not usually carrying the whole thing around anyway. Generally I only carry the pieces I'm working on.

Here's how it looks without Fifi in it.

The centre pocket/divider is soft, and gives easily when you stuff your project in.

A better picture of the divider. You can also see the little zip pocket and credit card slots. On the other side, little gadget pockets.

(Apologies for the bad flash pics, I forgot to take pictures of this bit in daylight.)

Cute, but not altogether useful for me. The scissors and needles are about the only things I'd carry in there. I guess you could add a crochet hook and DPNS. Just a note, if you use straights, you couldn't store those in there. The bag isn't tall enough.

As you can see. Doesn't worry me, I rarely use straights.

Overall, I give it a 10 out of 10.

Fifi? This close to done. Here's a sneak peek.

Update on Em's leg, as requested. It's doing better, but she's still on restricted dance moves. She's got a comp this weekend, but there's no way she'll be able to do all her dances. If she's doing better, maybe she'll do some. She of course, keeps insisting she's fine, and would dance anyway, no matter how many times she's told she'll only make it worse!

Lets finish on a high note.

Always makes me smile! (Well, except when she's playing destructo bunny!).

That is a cute bag? What exactly does a destructo bunny do?

I like it! Very stylish.

Very nice bag, Donna! Can't wait to see the finished Fifi.

Your knitting bag is much more stylish than my little backpack.

Hey, sister! I, too, am a bag whore! I love both the Jordana Paige bags! I haven't gotten one yet, but am hoping for my birthday!!! If you had to choose, which one would you go with?

Yum! I have a serious case of bag envy - love the new bag!

Fabulous bags, and I love both of them. The new one looks a perfect size and very trendy too. I hope Em heals soon so she can dance again too. Fifi is looking very good and I hope we see it soon.

Love the bags. I haven't succumbed to a Jordana Paige yet. I will admit to having way too many knitting bags and I can't stop buying more. I bought a regular purse yesterday (after almost buying it on Friday) and it is bigger than any one I have ever had. I am trying to figure out what small project will fit in it.

Glad Em is doing better.

You are not the only one - I love bags too & can never have enough. I have taken a peep at Bella & was thinking of it - I think I need to take another look ... but I was eyeing one at Country Road ???

nice bag - the bella looks very cute and roomy! nice to hear em is doing better....

OK, let me gues, it's a new bag!! I can tell you really love it!!!
You can't make 'youngsters' understand about long term consequences sometimes, you just have to be supportuve of their decisions and be there for them.
Twinkie makes me smile too. She's a cute bunny!!!

Posted by: 2paw at August 29, 2007 05:34 PM

Wow! Am I behind:
-a belated 'poor Em'
-a resounding 'wow' for Fifi
-and a often repeated 'how freakin' cute is Twinkie? Too freakin' cute!"

Posted by: shan at August 30, 2007 03:54 AM

I love the bags. Twinkie always makes me smile. Every time you post a picture, I call my husband over to the computer and say, "Look, look... here's a picture of Twinkie." He says knitters are crazy and not sure why so many knitters love bunnies.

Brilliant bag there - I don't own a proper knitting bag - must DO that one of these days...

Long live Destructo Bunny! Does she have a little cape?

Posted by: Jejune at August 31, 2007 11:24 AM

oooh nice bags, I do like the satchel oh and I can't wait to see Fifi finished.

Glad Ems leg is healing, hope all goes well for her comp.

Posted by: angie at August 31, 2007 05:05 PM

oh and the angora is soo pretty.

Posted by: angie at August 31, 2007 05:06 PM

Congratulations on the new bag! Makes you want to knit even more (if that's possible?)!!

Sorry to read about Em's leg and I hope it heals perfectly soon! Tell her Chris used his knee too quickly and got right back on his bike, and now there's some permanent damage (minor though). I know that's terrible for dancers.

Looks like Twinkie's been humble lately after you caught her escaping.

I love the French Girl patterns!

Oh my, another new knitting bag on the market! Oh my, I must resist...yep, I gotta resist. Geez, I'm at Jordana's site. I'm weak.
