Busy busy busy
Busy like a beaver. But not much I can show for it. I ordered some Zara in pink from STYK, and thanks to Janette's super service, it was here Monday morning.
But it's another secret project, and I can't say what it's going to be. Well, I should say what it is, because it's done, and it's blocking right now. Here's a hint.
I can't say I'm entirely happy with the project, because it's come out much larger than I'd hoped, but I hope the recipient likes it. I'm done with my secret knitting now, so hopefully I'm going to have blogworthy stuff! The secret projects will be revealed in good time.
I have also been working on Buttercup, and despite the fact that I don't normally like working with cotton, I'm really enjoying this project.
I've made some good progress on the back. It's a fun knit, just a seven row repeat, which isn't' nearly as difficult as it looks, although a few rows back, I left out one row and had to frog back, but I just wasn't paying attention.
And I picked up a long neglected project, although I haven't given it nearly enough attention.
The Shetland Shawl has been brought out of hibernation. I have plans to enter it into the Sydney royal Easter Show, but I figure I'd better finish it first.
Thank you to everyone for your continued good wishes for the recovery of my foot. I'm still not wearing decent shoes, there's still some bruising going on, and I'm still hobbling, but it is improving.
As to whether Twinkie is repentant.
Does she look like it? Her only concern is her belly!

I have a secret project or two to show later too. I only hope I don't forget to take pictures.
The stitch pattern in Buttercup reminds me of crochet. Very pretty!
Posted by: Wool Winder at November 30, 2007 11:30 PMIt's a very cute belly that needs to be scritched and filled with treats.
I'm glad the shawl has appeared again.

I too love the pink! And the pretty lace border for your shawl.
Twinkie is just too cute to be mad at. Maybe she was trying to help, giving you more time off your feet and with the knitting needles?
Ooo you got yourself some merino goodies! Nice!
Buttercup's coming along nicely too!
Hope your toe heals soon! Twinkie..I have no words...
Posted by: Mira at December 1, 2007 09:38 PMI'm glad your foot's improving... naughty Twinkie!

As for that bunny...
Posted by: angie at December 3, 2007 02:10 PMOw! That still looks sore, as long as it's better by the 20th.
Twinkie has the most beautiful face, you know that 'butter wouldn't melt look' - shame that looks can be deceiving! She might also be smarter than you think, perhaps she devised some cunning plan by tripping you up right before you're meant to go OS.....just a thought.

Posted by: cathy at November 30, 2007 05:41 PMHmm Twinkie looks very happy! Fluffa likes to race us down the hall and if he gets in the way hes often jet propelled by a foot(by accident of course!!),doesnt seem to worry him though!!!
