So far so good!
So far, so good! The Shetland Shawl is coming along nicely!
I took this picture yesterday, it's come along a little more since then. In fact, yesterday I got 8 rows done, and so far today, I've managed 6 rows, so I'm 2 rows ahead of schedule.
Mind you, the 6 rows I did today I did at Stitch n Bitch, so I may need to rip them out yet! It certainly wouldn't be the first time I've messed up my knitting there, but (fingers crossed) all seems to be going very well.
And I've also managed to do a healthy amount on the Baudelaire's.
These are what I reach for when I can't devote 100% attention to my knitting.
Just don't ask about the state of my housework!!
And Lara achieved something else with Twinkie apart from the amazing weight loss.
While she still doesn't particularly like it, we can actually pick her up now, without having our arms ripped off!

Bitty just said, "Awwww, I wish we could have Twinkie, she's such a sweet bunny!!!"
Posted by: Amanda at January 27, 2008 01:58 AMhehe, she looks like a fluffy (but trim) womabat in that pic! I mean that with no malice Twinkie!
Good luck with the schedule, you can do it!!!
Posted by: Rachael at January 27, 2008 06:46 AMThe lace is looking good. Fingers crossed here too!
That photo of your foot sure ain't flattering!! LOL
Yay for Lara; she's a bunny guru.

Posted by: Lynne at January 27, 2008 07:48 AMlove the lace knitting...and twinkie too!
Posted by: debbie at January 27, 2008 09:40 AMWell done,ZIm sure with the rate you knit normally youll have it ready on time!!
Beaudelaire! My last sock is half way to the top of leg, keep putting it down to do other things and being in a multi coloured yarn its very forgiving of disguised mistakes! Must do another in a plain colour!
Twinkie has been won over? I managed with Fluffa but only with being firm, sternness and not "putting up with any naughtiness",however he gets a piggy look on his face,LOL!!
The shawl progress must be going faster than you thought. Oh how cute Twinkie is getting used to cuddles.
Posted by: Sue at January 27, 2008 10:06 AMAwww, the bunny likes cuddles now!
Good luck with the shawl - it's looking just gorgeous :)
Posted by: Jejune at January 27, 2008 12:05 PMThe sock's are looking great! That's a very cute wabbit. :o)
Posted by: Terri at January 27, 2008 05:53 PMTwinkie is so cute. I love your lace knitting totally gorgeous and you're sock is coming out wonderful.
Posted by: Madame Purl at January 28, 2008 12:40 AMAwwwwww!!!
Posted by: Janet at January 28, 2008 08:40 AMThe sock is looking good & I love the color. Why worry about housework (it gets dirty even if you clean it) when you have a knitting deadline.
Posted by: Ann at January 28, 2008 05:12 PMIt makes me laugh that Baudelaire is your 'when I can't think' knitting! I had to think about mine!
Your shawl is looking gorgeous. So is Twinkie. I'm glad your arms will stay intact. It's hard to knit when they are ragged and bloody!
Posted by: amanda j at January 28, 2008 05:35 PMThat curl of edging is intriguing, but I love the Baudelaire (Shetland lace is perhaps still a little too challenging for moi, but lacy socks are fab!). Twinkie is cute, but I still loves me dawgs the bestest.
:>
You make my day!An Award, come and have a look! LOL

Well done being ahead of schedule, now you just need to keep those fingers crossed, but not while you areknitting. I love the Baudelaires, they are great to wear too, a really nice pattern (even though I did mine upside down)
Posted by: 2paw at January 26, 2008 10:46 PMTwinkie is so clever!! She looks totally calm and snuggly!!
