Blog Silence
Please pardon the blog silence.
Easter was great, and hectic. Some knitting was achieved, but most of the weekend was spent out and about, visiting and going to the Easter Show, and drinking far too much wine, so there wasn't as much done as I might have hoped.
And unfortunately, the blog silence will carry on for a few days, because we've just found out yesterday that the real estate we rent from are coming to do an inspection of the premises on Friday.
Friday, the day after tomorrow.
So I have today and tomorrow to make this look like a habitable space.
Yes, again.

Two words that will strike horror.. Trash Bags

Posted by: Restless Knitter at March 26, 2008 01:59 PMwhy does that not shock me? because i went through 3 cluttering children and i'm their leader! nothing like an inspection to whip us into shape....
Posted by: debbie at March 26, 2008 02:40 PMNo no no, you dont need to make it look habitable. Emily should have the pleasure of cleaning her room now. I always make my 14 yr old son clean his room once a week so it doesnt turn out that bad, otherwise I would have to spend 3 days trying to clean it all up and wasting precious knitting time.
Posted by: Sue at March 26, 2008 05:26 PMWell at least the bed's neat! Oh and a hint, poke a broom under it before you stick your hand in there, mine "found" a thoroughly rotten apple, evolution was happening.....
Posted by: cathy at March 26, 2008 05:46 PMGee, looks pretty normal to me ... what's the problem? LOL
Posted by: Janette at March 26, 2008 08:13 PMA messy room is never ending with a teenager in the house. Good luck!
Posted by: Wool Winder at March 27, 2008 12:01 AMThat looks more like an inhabeted space to me.
Posted by: Cathy at March 27, 2008 01:52 AMGood luck, got one just like it and mine's older!
Posted by: Lynne at March 27, 2008 09:46 AMGood Luck! Just had our inspection today. I'm not a "naturally neat person" - it's amazing how much can fit in a wardrobe when necessary.
Posted by: Kate at March 27, 2008 05:33 PMI am sure you can do lots in 2 days. Good luck on the inspection.
Posted by: Ann at March 28, 2008 11:16 AMthank goodness we own. i would never be able to pull it together. heck, most of the time i can barely pull it together to make it into work looking presentable.
Posted by: marti at March 29, 2008 06:19 AMAnd it doesn't stop there - my 23-y-o male offspring is about the same, and he has TWO rooms!!! I leave his bedroom door shut so the socks don't escape. If he doesn't like it, he's big enough to do something about it...!!!

Oh, good luck Donna! Hope there's nothing festering underneath there! (not that I can talk, I've got a similar pile in my bedroom...I justify it by the fact that it's on a chair, not in the middle of the floor. Oh and my wardrobe isn't big enough!!!)
