Coming down
Hello! Long time no blog.
I've been uninterested in much knitting this week. Personally, I think I'm coming down from knitting Autumn Rose. Which remains unfinished. The ends are still unwoven, it has not been blocked. I pick it up, look at the ends, then put it down and find something else to do.
The Ankle Biter socks are approaching the finish line.
And I've been trying to work on the Not Pink Puzzle Wrap.
I'm finding this really, really hard. It's labelled as a "Skilled Knit", but that's not the problem.
It's boring. B-O-R-I-N-G. It is so repetitive that it's boring me to tears. I pick it up, do a row or two, put it down and wander away. But I'm determined to finish it, because if I start something else, I'm never going to finish it. Never.
So my knitting mojo is on holidays, and doesn't want to come back to boring lace and weaving in of ends. Who can blame it?
Twinkie and Squeak have been enjoying the nicer weather.
Who can blame them?

who would've thunk you'd be in a knitting funk? (hey, i made a rhyme!) hope the knitting mojo comes back from holiday soon.....
Posted by: debbie at February 25, 2009 04:54 PMI actually think the same as Rose Red, why not frog it? If it's that boring, is it really worth it? Really?
Posted by: Marika at February 25, 2009 06:36 PMIn agreeance with Rose Red and Debbie. If not happy frog. Yarn will tell you of another project is wishes to be.
Your mojo is allowed to go on holidays once in awhile, you have been a knitting machine these last few months.
Posted by: Lorelle at February 26, 2009 08:02 AMIt's not just you. The universe doesn't want me to knit. It wants me to hide away in the room furthest from the sun and lie down.
Nice to know I'm not alone!
Posted by: Andrea at February 27, 2009 12:13 PMOOO! Hope it comes home soon!
BTW, do you know anything about blocking bamboo? Is it similar to blocking cotton?
Posted by: Lynne at February 27, 2009 04:18 PMVery nice socks - love the color. The lace is pretty - but if you aren't enjoying it why do it? I'm with everyone else - but then again, I'm on a frogging streak lately!
Posted by: Jeanne at March 1, 2009 12:55 AMI know how you feel, I'm trying to edge my way back into knitting-dom with small projects....I mean small!!
The puzzle wrap looks gorgeous, but if it's that boring, is it worth the hassle?
Socks are looking great. Hope you're all well. x

Dare I suggest you frog not-pink puzzle? If you aren't enjoying knitting it, is it worth it? It does look good though.
