Ribbons abound!
I picked up all my knitting from Castle Hill Show today, and I have to say, I'm ridiculously proud of the final result.
That's everything, here are the details.
Puzzle Wrap, Highly Commended. The section was G19, A knitted Shawl or Stole for an Adult.
Autumn Rose, First Place. The section was G4, Traditional Fair Isle Garment.
Tangled Yoke, First Place. The section was G8, Lady's Jumper or Cardigan
Kitri Socks, First Place and a Champion Ribbon! The section was G15, Personal accessories (Not a scarf)
There was also a little note attached to the Kitri Socks, which read "Very Snazzy Socks!"
Magic Carpet Ride, First Place and a Champion Ribbon, the section was G18, A knitted Scarf for an Adult
And finally, the big winner, the Shetland Shawl.
First Place, Champion Ribbon and Reserve Grand Champion overall.
So now, the Shetland Shawl and the Kitri socks are off to Camden and Campbelltown Shows, and everything else is off to the Royal Easter Show. (The Easter Show has no sock category - Boo! And the Shetland did the Easter Show last year)

Wow Donna, that's even better than we thought. It was hard to read the cards the way everything was laid out, but hey, congratulations once again and good luck at the Royal, Camden and Campbelltown shows!
Posted by: Janette at March 23, 2009 11:00 PMWow!! Great job!! Hmm maybe I should enter in some of the shows around me. I can honestly say I have never thought about doing it! Your work is lovely the ribbons are well deserved and you should be proud!
Posted by: Stacy at March 24, 2009 12:37 AMCongratulations!
Posted by: Wool Winder at March 24, 2009 02:41 AMEeeee! Congratulations, that's wonderful! I'm with Rose Red - make a humungous sash out of all those First, Champion & Grand Champion ribbons! Or maybe a discreet chair-cover to take with a folding chair to meetings? (Is it odd that I'm sad the Puzzle Wrap was "only" Highly Commended? I mean, I'd love to get a ribbon even *that* high someday!)
Wow, wow, WOW!
Posted by: CraftyGryphon at March 24, 2009 03:01 AMHi,
My name is Michele, and I am in the process of looking for people like yourself to knit me beanies. I noticed that you are a South Coast knitting group, and I come from the Sutherland Shire.
I would pay you for the beanies....
Would love to hear back from you, please email mlalor22@hotmail.com if you or anyone in your knitting group is interested.
Thanks you

Awesome job! I hope when my short person is as old as Em, I manage to knit things like that. Maybe I'll have a bit more free time and concentration at that point.... No? Well, maybe coffee will help. ;)

Congratulations you big star!
