Socks
While I was computerless, I got my first shipment from the Needlefood Sock Club.
And it's fab!
Looks nice enough from the outside, doesn't it? It's even better all opened up.
Stitch markers, Bamboo DPNS, Soak sample, Freddo Frogs and yummy, yummy yarn!
The colour is called "Light through Ice" an the parcel had a water theme - Aquae soak, frogs, cute huh? And the needles were all picked with your preferences in mind. I'm loving this sock club, thank you, Michelle!!
In other sock news, I haven't blogged my sock of the month club yet. And they're almost done!
BFF socks, by CookieA, in Mountain Colors Bearfoot in "Wildflowers". I love Bearfoot, it's 60% wool, 25% mohair and 15% Nylon, and it's so lovely and squishy.
The socks are being presented by one of my teddies, as requested by missfee. I used to make teddies, and missfee has requested I show them, so here is the one that sits beside me when I'm at the computer. I'll show some more next time!

I love this yarn! I'm using Kitchen's on Fire for Ishbel because several people said it was far too good a colour to use for socks!I've also got a skein of Lollipop lurking in my stash.
Posted by: Sue at June 17, 2009 02:46 PMI have some needlefood yarn in my sock swap - I am really looking forward to knitting it up in the next week or so.

Posted by: Rose Red at June 17, 2009 06:16 PMI have just recieved the first of two lots of Needlefood sock yarn (to be blogged this week) . After seeing Yarna's I bought Lavendar Infusion, Butter Cake and Hokey Pokey - they are gorgeous colours (kicking myself I missed the sock club - Because i don't have enough Sock yarn!)
This colourway is stunning.
Posted by: jp at June 17, 2009 07:18 PMFreddo Frog! My favourite ;-)

Posted by: KSee at June 17, 2009 09:11 PMlove the expression on the teddy - priceless!
that is a great sock club pack, too. I need to check that one out next time it comes up, I think.
Posted by: Kylie at June 17, 2009 10:54 PMYou're a bear artist, too? How cool is that! I just finished reading the latest Bear Collector mystery (By John J. Lamb; his wife is a Bear Artist, as is "his" wife in the series) and the series is set not far from where I live in Virginia. I keep thinking I'm going to try making my own bear someday, it sounds like fun!
Posted by: CraftyGryphon at June 17, 2009 11:58 PMGreat sock yarn - I love the colors. Looks like a really nice club!
Very cute teddy - and very pretty socks! I like Bearfoot too - except I always end up felting the socks.

I bought 4 lots of needlefood sock yarn the other day. it's lovely and the colours are great. Hokey pokey, lavender infusion, kitchens on fire and a yellowy citrus colour the name of which has escaped me for now. I'm using the kitchen on fire. Colours are dark crimsons and scarlets and I love both it and the wool. It looks great in the fascine braid pattern. Beautifully packaged and good service, always important to me.
