Another Finished Project!

So I finished something else, but still not the hoodie. Sorry.

I finished David's One Row Scarf.

Specs:
Pattern: One Row Scarf by the Yarn Harlot.
Needles: 5.5mm
Yarn: Less than one skein of Dream In Color Classy in Black Parade, from The Loopy Ewe.
Mods: None to make!

David didn't want it too long, so I didn't use the whole skein of Classy. It was 145cm long when I stopped knitting, and I'm glad I stopped, because after blocking, it grew to 160cm long.
It has been dubbed a success, and has been worn every day.

My stylist was (as always) on hand to supervise the photo shoot.

In other knitting news, I finally picked up the cap shawl again after a few weeks of neglect.

I'm loving this yarn, The Yarn Place's Graceful. I find myself thinking "Just one more round!" so that I can see the subtle colour changes.

I'm not how knitting and/or blogging is going to go for the near future. Hopefully there won't be too much of a disruption, but I'm starting a full time course at TAFE (like a US community college, I think) tomorrow, in Library Services. I'm a little bit nervous, I don't deal well with change, but I'm thinking positively!

And finally, a kind of special bear. This one is one of my favourites.

This is Max and Monty, designed by an Australian Bear Artist named Gerry Warlow. The minute I saw this kit, I knew I had to make it. Here's a close up of Max's head.

You can see his nose and ear ring better up close!

It's been so cold lately, I bet that scarf was appreciated. What a lovely colourway for the cap shawl. I was just looking at the pics on ravelry trying to figure out if it was the light, or if the yarn was getting darker. Lovely.

It'll be nice if you can keep up the blogging and write about how life changes when you go back to school as a grown up!

The cap shawl is looking beautiful and I love that one row scarf. I've made it for Sean. Great pattern.

Love David's scarf. Your bear and dog are just so cute. Good luck with the TAFE course. It sounds like it will be a good change for you and you might be able to knit while your there too.

Love the cap shawl. What pattern is it? And good luck with the library course! I'm a librarian of sorts (qualified but never worked in one) but I've heard good things about the Tafe course. One of the girls I trained once, her mother taught cataloguing at Sydney TAFE!!

Oooo, are you as bad around books as every other knitter seems to be? This might be a very dangerous career path! Congratulations on going back, you'll do great :)

The cap shawl is sublime - no other word could describe it.

Oh wow, back to TAFE! How exciting! I really hope you enjoy it - I think it's generally much more fun doing tertiary studies when you're going through choice (not just after Year 12).

That One Row Scarf is a winner, isn't it? I made it with Vintage Hues a few years ago, and it looks stunning. Love the teddy bears and Cap Shawl too!!

Good luck with your studies, and don't worry about us.
