Gail!

So I have another finished project to show you all

Gail (Nightsongs) is done! A nice quick knit, even considering that I feel as if I hardly ever get time to knit any more.

Specs:
Pattern: Gail (Nightsongs) by Jane Araujo (Free Ravelry download)
Yarn: Yarndaze Watercolours (70% wool/30% seacell) in Lilac purchased from Woolgirl
Needles: 4mm Knitpicks Harmony Circular
Mods: I didn't have quite enough yarn, so I ended up only doing 6 repeats instead of 7. Other than that, I did exactly what the pattern says.
I know some people have had difficulties with the charts and stuff, and I agree that the chart isn't really easy to read. I went through some of the projects on Ravelry and read some of the tips people mentioned, and that helped a lot.

It really was a great knit, and I can definitely see myself knitting it again.

In other news, it's been hot. I know some people would disagree, but I think it's even been to hot to knit.
In the late afternoons, Twinkie has taken to the only dirt patch in the yard, where it's a little cooler.

And there she melts!

Twinkie is just adorable!
I'm working on a version of Nightsongs, too. I know what you mean about the charts. After a couple of false starts I'm up and running - I've got 1000m of laceweight to get through though, so it might take a while!

Gail is gorgeous and I cant believe it didnt take you very long to knit it, I think I would take months to knit something that lovely! I agree with you and the hot weather, we are now enjoying lots of lovely rain and I hope it does all night long!

The shawl is just lovely.

I've decided that apart from giving the garden a quick water this morning, I am staying inside ALL DAY today. Ugh, 41degC is just tooooo hot!

Good to know that there are issues with the charts. I have the pattern printed and the yarn ready to go (once the Christmas presents are finished), I'll go have a look at the rav comments before I start then.

She is a gorgeous shawl though - such a beautiful colour too!

And I really feel for Twinkie. And all of you - that really is just too hot.

The shawl is so pretty. Poor Twinkie, laying in the dirt.

Gail looks great and I love it. Unfortunately, I am one of those who is having a problem with the chart. Somehow, my brain refuses to "see" the pattern & my Gail is still sitting in my basket.

Twinkie is really cute - poor thing though...I hope she gets a little cooler!

It is a gorgeous shawl. I will have to check out the pattern, but I am not all that great with charts. Not that I have really tried, I usually look at it and think.....Nah!

Very pretty knitting!

Our cat does the same thing in any patch of bare soil he can find! He's so dusty it's hard to believe it has been raining!

Thats gorgeous! I'm so jealous of those of you with the ability to actually knit lace, I'm desperate to knit a shawl but I just dont have the confidence to try it yet.

And Twinkie is so cute.

Wow! Gorgeous. I have yet to knit a shawl out of lace-weight. But I have about 3 patterns and yarn ready to knit as soon as I finish the projects that I am knitting.
We are getting some cold weather here now...snow is forecast for Thursday so I'm looking forward to getting out my sweaters and scarves!!
