Maybe I lied. A little.
So I said that I didn't buy any pink yarn in Bendigo, and when I opened my sock project bag the other day, I realised that I had lied. I did buy some pink yarn.
Six tiny little mini skeins of yarn, four of them predominantly pink. Aren't they cute? They were all only $2 or $3 each from Waratah Fibres. They're going to go into my Sock Yarn Blanket, which gets very little air time, either here or in real life. But it is growing!
I pick it up every now and then to do a square, and at this rate, it should be done in a year or two. Maybe!

oh the sock yarn blanket! it is very pretty, and those mini skeins are so cute!
Posted by: drk at July 24, 2010 07:28 AMI resisted the urge for a sock yarn blanket some years ago, but am reconsidering now - given my short attention span for knitting projects with the family around! Hugs, Nat xx
Posted by: Nat at July 24, 2010 09:29 AMLove the sock yarn blanket, very cute. Love the little skeins, too.
Posted by: Suzanne at July 24, 2010 09:33 AMOh I must have missed them. If I had seen them I would have snapped up a few for baby socks. The blankie looks great and the skeins are lovely.
Posted by: Melissa at July 24, 2010 11:03 AMPretty yarn. How did I miss that in Bendigo? It's a great idea to knit a sock blanket with all the leftovers & I wish I have the patience to do it.
Posted by: Ann at July 24, 2010 01:04 PMdo you need some more pink yarn for you blankie?
as I am partial to pink as well I have a bit hanging around too
Posted by: missfee at July 24, 2010 07:43 PMaww, sweeet!
one of my derby girls is making that type of blanket too
Posted by: Kgirl at July 26, 2010 05:22 PMI just finished my mitered square blanket. I did the same thing as you, just pick it up periodically and knit a section and then put it down for a while. I finally got really tired of it, and said, "Done". It took three years.

What's a yarn stash without some pink? We forgive you for your little "pink" lie.
