Collection
Yes, I collect yarn. In fact, I seem to do a whole lot more collecting than knitting of yarn lately. But to reassure a few people (you know who you are!) my Wollmeise collection is not as large as rumoured.
(By request, the colours are -
Row 1, from top - Tutu Medium (100%), Tutu Light (Twin), 2 x Magnolie Light (100%), Magnolie Light (Twin), Dornroschen (Twin), 3 x Rosenrot (Twin), 1 x Vamp (Twin)
Row 2, from top - 3 x Fliederbusch (100%), Amethyst Light (Twin), Lila Lludmilla (100%), Ballerina (Twin), Turkis (Twin), Spina Di Pesce (Twin), 2 x Hortensie (Twin)
Row 3, from top - Ruby Thursday (Lace), Ballerina (Lace), Vergißmeinnicht (Lace), Schwarz (Lace), Schwarz (100%), Lowenzahn (100%), and Pfefferminz Prinz (100%)
But it might be time to stop collecting until I actually knit some more of it. (and I don't think anyone will be surprised by the colour representations!)

WOWZA!! I only have about 5 skeins of it but don't tell anybody! LOL! Still haven't used any either! Silly silly knitters.
Posted by: Dawn at September 27, 2010 05:54 AMI see a cardigan or two and a few shawls in your future.
Posted by: jp at September 27, 2010 06:21 AMooo - I love those blues the one on the far right and the aqua one - I never think of those colours when I think of wollmeise - yum yum

Posted by: Yarna at September 27, 2010 09:54 AMi totally do not believe that that is the entire collection. its a very impressive one though, great colours!
Posted by: drk at September 27, 2010 10:37 AMIt all looks so feminine! As I have only recently had other females to knit for, I am just discovering those pinks. Purples and blues have been my personal magnets up til now
Posted by: Jeanie Babbage at September 27, 2010 01:03 PMnice! so many pinks, who'da thunk it!!
Posted by: Rose Red at September 27, 2010 03:14 PMGorgeous! What a wonderful collection. I vowed not to buy any more until I began knitting the next wm project and already failed. I can see how it doesn't take much to be captivated. Love that Ballerinas are present!
Posted by: Knitdra at September 27, 2010 06:55 PMOne day I will own some wollemeise. Until then, I will sit and drool over your stash. It really is quite stunning!
Posted by: Shelley at September 29, 2010 05:01 PMWow - that's a hugh stash of just one brand. I only recently acquired my 1st skein of Wollemeise.

W.O.W. I have serious stash envy over here. I've never even touched the stuff. It is like my own white whale. I have to know, what are you going to make? I'm envisioning socks and shawls up the wazoo! Can't wait to see the end products!
