18
And so the day has come. My baby is legally an adult. 18 years old. Good Lord, I feel old.
(Poor picture with bad lighting, all apologies!)
I'm so proud of the wonderful human being she is. But I'm still not sure that I'm ready for her to spread her wings and experience the world!
Happy 18th birthday, Emily!

just think how old I'll feel (and be!) when my baby turns 18!! (does that make you feel younger?!)
How time flies by. Happy Birthday Em.

Posted by: Janette at March 25, 2011 12:47 AMAt the risk of sounding like one of those older people, I'll still say... I can remember when she was still playing with Barbies! Where did the time go?!
She's a great kid? girl? woman? because she has great parents!

..and Donna I totally get your feelings on the letting go part. Your a few years ahead of me in the child raising stakes and I only hope I do half as good a job as you. Emily has grown into a lovely young lady and that would be because her family and friends have given her guidance when needed throughout her life.
Enjoy this moment a job well done and you need to celebrate that :) xx
Happy 18th birthday Em.

I don't know if you will ever be ready to let her spread her wings, I know I don't like to think about it, and I have a LONG way to go yet. She is wonderful and a true credit to you.
