Got nothin'

Knitting and I have never been further apart. Not from a lack of wanting, just from a lack of opportunity. The Hiccup socks are my train knitting.

As you can see, they haven't grown much. The colour was pooling, so I decreased two stitches in each sock, and now it's moving nicely. There possibly would've been more action on these except for a small problem.

Another broken Knitpicks/Knitpro needle. This has happened a lot to me lately, I don't think I'll be buying them anymore.

And Ella? I've recovered the lost work and started on Week two, which is the armhole shaping and up to the shoulders.

Getting there, with 48 hours or so until next week's "homework" is released. Must knit!

What a pain for you (the pooling and the breakage). With needles that fine, I only buy the metal Knitpicks!

I hear you on the knitpicks needle, knitting time is so hard to find round these parts, such as shame. I must get more organised and pack knitting for the daily train trip ...

Love the colors on the sock. That stinks about the needle.

Your socks are coming along nicely. I have the same problem with KP needles especially when doing magic loop. Anyway, the quality of KP is not as good as Addi but I still use them because of the nice pointy tips.

I had problems with my knitpicks nickle-plated circulars the cable came loose from where it attaches to the screw. I phoned Knitpicks and complained about it. Even though it was 1 1/2 years after I bought the needles they still replaced the cables for me free of charge. Apparently they'd had a bad batch of cables around that time.

Contact Knitpicks and let them know the problems you are having, you never know they might replace the needles for you no charge. My guess would be that they would just to keep customer relationships happy.

Bummer about the knitpicks.

Hope you find more knitting time soon.

Hang in there! Sometimes a bit of time away from knitting is as therapeutic as knitting itself!
