A knitter's nightmare
Look at Olivia!
Just six rows of the neckband and two sleeve cuffs, each eleven rows to go! So why am I stopping to post to the blog, instead of finishing that handful of rows? A knitters nightmare.
That's all the yarn I have. I ran out. It's my own fault, I made the sleeves longer and didn't think about whether I'd have enough yarn. I got the yarn from Calico & Ivy about a year ago. When I left work last Tuesday, I'm pretty sure there were 2 or 3 balls on the shelf. I have no idea what dyelot or if there'll be any left when I get in tomorrow morning.
Gah.
It's not been a good week creativity wise. Wednesday afternoon I came home and sewed up a dress I'd cut out a few days before. Finished it off, tried it on, was happy as a clam. But it was a little bit stiff, so I tossed it into the washing machine and dryer, so I could wear it to work the next day. It shrank.
On Friday afternoon I made up another one I'd cut out. Again, disaster. The fabric was too heavy for the pattern, and it didn't sit at all right.
And now I'm out of yarn for Olivia. You'll find me in the corner, tearing my hair out.
A better thing that happened was the arrival of an etsy order. I'm a bit of an etsy addict, and I often find little things while I'm wandering around. These Scrabble Tile pendants are awesome!
Love them! You can find them here - HomeStudio on etsy. And they're having a Christmas in July sale right now!

I'm hoping the PS to this post is that you got the yarn you needed from work and were able to finish this gorgeous thing. I think I saw on twitter you got it finished. You know how much I love that colour. And I LOVE the tiles, so cute.

I had one of those days too. Olivia is looking good & I am sure you can find the yarn to finish it off. Good luck.
